If we finish above Manchester United
If we finish above Manchester United
It would be the first time since 1986.
IF this does happen, who would take their place as the club that’s finished above us for the longest time currently?
I suspect it would be Manchester City.
I’m aware that I could work it out by trawling through final league tables, but I was wondering if anyone here may know without needing to look it up.

Spuds are the best team left in the comp unfortunately![]()

It appears AZ Alkmaar currently have the greater opportunity, Chutney son, so I'd possibly take on some of your own advice.

Re: If we finish above Manchester United
Your sole achievement this season will be finishing above possibly one of the worst West Ham United sides I've seen for quite a few seasons.
Just imagine if I had said that to you at the start of the season, Chutney son?

Re: If we finish above Manchester United
Finishing above Man Utd and Spurs should be the goal of this season. Fuck all else to play for.
Re: If we finish above Manchester United
There’s no need to be nasty mate. It’s simply a football statistic and unfortunately shows how they’ve consistently been beater than us for a long time. Unfortunately.
Re: If we finish above Manchester United
I did mean currently. For ages Arsenal and Man Utd were the two clubs that had constantly finished above us since 1986. But we did finish above Arsenal about three or four years ago.
We were literally one missed penalty from finishing above Man Utd a few years ago.

Re: If we finish above Manchester United
What’s your criterion here, is it the club who has finished above us for the most consecutive seasons in all of history?
Because that wouldn’t be Manchester City.
If it is the team that has finished above us every single season since Manchester United finished below us, that’s more likely to be Arsenal, possibly Liverpool.
