He's been arrested for manslaughter.  So how can he be the missing crew member?

because "came after the conclusion of the search"  could have meant he was missing, found, then arrested, . Not the case though, sounds like they just called it off

It's most probably human error.

The Solong was apparently on it's normal regular route, and the Immaculate was anchored in its way.  There was fog in the area, so it's fairly possibly the watchman on the Solong had his feet up and was playing angry birds on his phone and not paying attention.

Fair enough, I cede to your informed opinion, like I said you're almost certainly right, my original point is it shouldn't be assumed it was 100% an accident, especially when I saw this said yesterday by an Immaculate crew member  " the previous day we had anchored at that spot and relayed our coordinates - everyone should have known where we were"

The SOLONG is a German owned/controlled ship. The tanker it crashed into is the STENA IMMACULATE owned by Stena Bulk based in Sweden. Really is no conspiracy to be had here.

Immaculate being Swedish is irrelevant, the fact it's commissioned to US military and laden with jet fuel is what would make it a tempting soft target for an opportunist. Solong being registered to Germany is also largely irrelevant what with the shadiness of how naval ownership works, besides the crew would be multinational as is common.

In any case yes it was almost certainly an accident, big fuckup though, very rare for ships to collide in those circumstances

Just looked it up yeah was commissioned to the Us military, wouldn't surprise me if it was deliberate then, it contained jet fuel and not oil at least.
