pretty poor. We just about coped with Everton without creating too much going forward, although we did have two on target and well saved. We have got to up our game and bring bowen into it otherwise I can see them getting the one goal and it being enough.

Invited them on a bit too much for my liking, solid enough but not good enough with the ball. Both teams are pretty poor.

I don’t really know what to say about officials. If you see that as a penalty and Rodriguez challenge vs Southampton as a red card, it’s clear as day they are just guessing knowing VAR will save them.

Our best two players last season both played in the same position, it was a massive problem. Now neither is playing in that position it's a bigger problem.

That indeed is what VAR is for. Fact the ref gives it just confirms the modern game is beyond hope.

As expected, Everton pinning us in as Newcastle did.  We have no way to connect defence to attack. Paqueta cannot compete physically with them and Soucek a bit better than Monday but still not affing much and Kudus has simply been sussed out and needs to modify his game or go back wide. 

We rely on a Bowen moment or worldy. Cant see where a goal comes from

they've had the better of it overall but we've had the two clearer chances with good saves from pickford. If we can bring Bowen into it more we stand a really good chance of taking something.
