Never understood the significance of the 'big club' debate, it really don't matter. I'm pretty sure that fans of Torquay United, Wycombe Wanderers etc don't give a shit, they just love their clubs regardless of any labels that may be attached to them.
Re: Is West Ham a bigger club than Newcastle United?
Unfortunately not. There have been spells when we’ve had a better squad, but a bigger club. No.
Even Leeds are arguably a bigger club than us still despite them spending the majority of the last 40 years or so outside the top flight.

This is very true, and if you ever want to wind up a Y words fan just tell them they are not a big club like Arsenal. They are obsessed by sizeIsn't this kind of talk what Spurs fans love? They are always going on about it at least, notably when referring to us, how they are a "big club" top 6, European elites blah blah blah.

Newcastle don't own their ground but at least it's a proper football stadium.

Fans make us a bigger club than them?

Right now, there is more chance of them signing Bowen than us signing Isak, for example.
A good measurement

I’d disagree with that, using that theory would make Leicester bigger than us which they’re not

Re: Is West Ham a bigger club than Newcastle United?
Of course it isn't pointless.
The thread is to ascertain where we as supporters think we are, as a club, compared to a club that was in the Championship not so long ago yet are now in a position we'd love to be in.
History, we're bigger obiously as we've won more.
Current standing, barcodes, all day long.

If we are talking money then Newcastle are 15th in the world compared to West Ham in 17th.

Never understand use of the word “big”
More revenue, fans, more trophies, less relegations etc? In the modern day, it equates to revenue and trophies. Hence no not yet they are not
