James Tomkins retires
Will be turning 36 on Saturday
Left for Palace as Bilic wouldn’t guarantee him a start
Always thought that was a mistake on his part

Re: James Tomkins retires
I was looking at his stats just recently, spent about the same length of time with us (as a first team player) and Palace, but hardly played for them, so probably just happy picking up his money. Suspect he is worth a few mil in retirement.
Anyone wished him luck yet?

Re: James Tomkins retires
Wasn't there a story going about before he left that he was told to change his agent if he wanted a new deal ?
I might have the wrong player but thought it was Tomkins
A decent prospect but somewhat injury prone and his career never really hit the heights it could have.

Hardly went on to have the most stellar career, did he.
Never really a first-choice CB for Palace.
