Yeah what a great scene that was. Great unique entertainment as apposed to Tom (I'm such a hammy hard man) Hardy telling everyone he's gonna break their bones etc etc.
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Manuel/Anon, don't bother if you are selective in what you watch. Im relatively happy to watch stuff that maybe isnt on the surface that great as sometimes a show can surprise you but Gangs of London is truly awful now. The first season was maybe ok and it is hugely action packed and stylishly shot but the characters is shit and the story line is pathetic, all style no substance.

I don't need to watch it, anything titled Gangs of London is nailed on to be shit. Why do people watch shit like this.

Watching American Primeval on Netflix, very well made and acted but the storyline is a bit grim and brutal, but captivating at the same time, based on true events from 1857.

Also, where can I watch Mobland?
Paramount.+... doing a 7 day free trial ..lords knows why.
I haven't watched a second of it but can likely nail the general theme and lazy characters.
I quite enjoyed the film Mobland with the disco king ..one of those you werent expecting ...bit like blue ruin

I will get onto this, most stuff with Sean Bean is good and this looks good. Agree about the Scouse accent (and their slang) was the same in The Responder with Martin Freeman.
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Just finished This City is Ours on I-Player.....Personally I think it's the best drama I have seen for a very long time.Yes the Scouse accent is a bit annoying but it's a great watch with plenty of twists.
For once the woke BBC has actually produced a 9/10 drama.

Watched the first episode of Mobland last night. It looks like Tom Hardy is saying, how the hell do I get out of this load of old cսnt. Cant see the makers of Gangs of London doing anything but laughing.

It's incredible how much money Amazon spent on LOTR only to produce something that looks like it was made by the Si-Fi channel. It looked as cheap as The Shanara Chronicles. At least that had Ivana Baquero in it...grrrrr

That's about it, Shorty.
I remember being stunned when watching The Sweeney in the 70s that some weeks the baddies got away. I don't think you'd ever see that happening nowadays.

Will say though that at around episode 5 I thought it got a bit tiring, maybe they should be 6 episodes. He's a great character though that the viewer can connect to and like. Season 4 confirmed.Agreed. It did drag on.
This City is Ours on IPlayer ain't too bad.
I thought Reacher 3 was pretty poor compared to seasons 1 and 2.

I wouldn;t say Mobland is typical Ritchie but he didn';t write it only directed. Also Tom hasn't gone full "Hardy"for once thank God. It's very good even if Stephen Graham is not in it...shock horror !
