Can you imagine listening to Potter’s word salads day after day as players do? That’s what I meant when I said he has an academic’s bearing. Most of my school teachers were boring wankers mind.

What bothers me is the look on Bowen’s face at the finish. It was the face that said “I’d be better off at a top club…”

It’s a bit rinse & repeat
You could see Potter lasting til October if this continues especially as Sullivan is keeping his hands in his (our) pockets
Expecting Kudus to go (& Paqueta if he is cleared) and if this isn’t spent properly under DoF Sullivan we will join the 3 promoted teams in the relegation battle.
More of the same until Sullivan & Brady go & the club is in the hands of sensible people who appoint footballing people and let them make footballing decisions

Potter will stay until the autumn.

In the summer, Sullivan will turn (exclusively) to his agent "mates" for a rebuild who will sell him any old shit they know no one else wants/needs/will touch. Pockets will, of course, be lined (which is the main thing).

First 4 games next season, 4 losses and a parting of the paths.

Struggle through to January yo-yo-ing in and out of the relegation zone and Sullivan will, once again, turn to his pocket-liners to supply the players "correct the problem".

Any bookies offering odds on us going down next season? Gotta be worth a Lady of anybody's money.

We all know if Potter does get the elbow the next manager will be Sean Dyche.  Ticks all the dwarf;'s boxes. So, as I say, what's the bloody point ?
That has been said a thousand times already, but that's not to see there isn't any truth in it of course. So I suppose the choice is simple, roll the dice again and just hope it somehow works out with the new bloke, or you stick with Potter? Neither feels you with any confidence, I know. Realistically though Potter will be here next season.

C & H reporting "car crash presser" and "Potter looks broken" at the crack dawn this morning. If Sullivan smells blood and sense he can get him to walk this is going to get real ugly, real fast.

For the sake of his own health Potter probably should walk, he clearly can't cope now nevermind when Sully start laying it on. For all Moyes' faults his mental strength must have been formidable and his skin thicker than the Earth's crust.

I can see a real tragic demise coming here.

Well it would def help. But as shit as Spurs are does anyone really think with their attacking players we ain't gonna concede a few to them?? I don't see us beating them at all.

I can't get over how shit Kilman is.

reality is and it’s the cycle at West Ham, Sullivan doesn’t rate him so he won’t back him.
if we’re not 4th favourites for the drop next season then lump on.

He’s nowhere near intelligent enough to be an academic. He’s just got verbal diarrhoea. That’s a very different thing.

I’ve never known a manager, of ours, to say so much without being able to deliver anything on the pitch.
I want to know what England managers with ''fire and dynamism'' did better than Southgate?
It’s a fair question!

For all of his waistcoat-wearing beige Coldplay-ness, Southgate did deliver two finals, a semi-final and a quarter final in four major tournaments.

My problem with Potter is that it’s all words and absolutely no delivery. Hot air.

Needed nearly 3 years to 'recover mentally' from getting pumped by Chelsea. And he looks mentally done here after 4 months.

Geezer doesn't have the minerals for a club like West Ham. Never has done, never will do.

This is all a complete disaster. We can't be out looking for a manager again FFS.
Fair enough he has a shit unbalanced squad. And I've backed him until today.  But the subs and selections he makes every week are incomprehensible.

Irving was competent  v  chelsea, never to be seen again. Cresswell, old but solid and shored up the defence. Again, dropped. Putting coufal on for a left back was the last straw for me. Kilman is the stinker, not Mav. He needs to be gone.

So where now. Who will come here. For a few years I've seen young mid priced decent players go anywhere but West Ham. They'd sooner go to Fulham, forest, Bournemouth, Palace etc  Theres something really wrong at West Ham.

He has the bearing of an academic in the same way Sullivan has the bearing of an icon of female empowerment.

The man is a walking case study for Dunning-Kruger. He didn't have the intelligence or humility to understand how Brighton's (a club that a Labrador could manage successfully) infrastructure elevated his own meager ability.

This is why he failed at Chelsea and is drowning now, his hubris and arrogance never allowed him to comprehend that other people made him successful.

It's got to the point with Potter now that maybe for everyone's sake we need to part company before the summer window. The jury is no longer out and I don't see how he comes back from this. I doubt even those two planks on the Bobby Moore stand are still backing him now. That presser was fucking tragic and I 'almost' felt sorry for him. The Fullkrug thing has also created a real shit storm that is going to linger, btw he was fucking shit second half.

But yea he's out his depth and now it's looking like another one who just needs putting out of his misery, seen it all before, he ain't coming back from this, so IMO a big and sensible decision now needs to be made. While Potter knows his reputation, or what's left of it, will be in tatters, he's probably now thinking he could do without this, he's a wealthy bloke (thanks to Boehly) so it's not as if he even needs the money.

When we lose to Spurs next week that could be the final nail, if he's still here. Potter - just fuck off, and Sullivan do the responsible thing for once, and give yourself a wee pat on the back for being right about him.
