Tobido - Signed
West Ham's obligation to sign on-loan Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo on a permanent basis has been activated after the club retained their Premier League status. The France centre-back joined the Hammers on a season-long loan from the Ligue 1 side last summer, and the deal included a potential obligation to sign him full-time.The conditions of the transfer have remained confidential, but multiple sources have told BBC Sport the primary stipulation in West Ham's agreement with Nice over a permanent deal was retaining their Premier League status. That was confirmed on Saturday when Ipswich became the final club to have their relegation into the Championship confirmed.

Sign a player who has a history of attitude problems and... seems to have a massive attitude problem.
If we can get our money back, bites hands off.

Re: Tobido - Signed
The fact that Cresswell has been getting regular games in a back three and looks to be the leader of the back line speaks volumes.
Tobido clearly has talent but as mentioned character
and being a team player might be the issue.
We need a player at the back who will lead by example as well as being able to play a bit.
Zouma, Ogbonna and Dawson now look head and shoulders above this lot even with their limitations.

Re: Tobido - Signed
There must be a financial clause in his loan deal if he completes a certain amount of games, I reckon. The aim would be to probably keep him under that amount.
It's also TODIBO, not Tobido looking at the thread title.

Punched Loppy , surprised he hasn’t put one on Potter yet
Mixed feelings … you don’t know about the off field stuff but if he is a wrong un then move him on
At times he has looked like a player but the fact a centre half seems unable to finish 90 mins is worrying

Re: Tobido - Signed
Not only is he unreliable when it comes to his fitness, I also think he's hardly impressed at the back either. Like the others I want to see a big improvement from him next season as this one hasn't been good enough and 1 with a questionable attitude as well.
Re: Tobido - Signed
I always wondered why he chose to join us, and i dont think his body language has ever been great. he does give the impression of someone merely marking time to his move in the summer.
if thats the case hopefully we make a few quid.

Hopefully if he does, we make a few bob on it, although TBH i can't understand why ManU would want him, hardly pulled up any trees, a few half decent performances, but also some stinkersbut i suppose anything is possible with them, as big a basket case as us right now, just got deeper pockets
Yup, I heard this too. He's only here so we can flip him to Man U as a way of getting round them not being able to move him directly from Nice to them. Also rumoured he's been a bit of a dick and a member of the little Alvarez clique.
I'd hope the above isn't true though as he's decent and we can definitely go forward with him at CB, even if we need to get rid of all the others.

We signed him at the beginning of the season but didn't have the money so we're paying for him this window. It was always permanent, we were never getting relegated.
We could have sold him in January we only had to pay for him then.
