Labour won the last election with a huge majority, usually a majority like that guaranteed two terms at least. However, many labour seats were not won with big majorities. It will only take some 5 or 10% swings and they lose a massive number of seats.

How often does a party given a majority like that lose a a 15,000 majority seat after 9 months in government?

Just read that Runcorn was the 16th safest seat Labour had. If they can lose that then they can lose pretty much any and every seat in their majority.

The reality is that our FPP system is not representative of the way people vote. Forget Labour’s massive Parliamentary majority because it in no way reflects the way people voted in theGE nearly a year ago.

We urgently need to reform Westminster democracy because with Reform’s rise we will continue to elect governments, with comfortable working majorities, that do not reflect the wishes of the majority of the people.

Certain factions of the AfD such as its youth wing had already been classified extremist, while the party at large was classified a suspected extremist case in 2021.


The second biggest party classified as extremist.
I've seen snippets of stuff from Germany where people are getting a knock at the door for saying mean things about the government, but this is way beyond that.

It is something you would expect from Putin, shutting down any chance of a change in government.

Be interesting to see how much traction Blair's recent comments regarding net zero take hold. 
We are importing £770 million pounds worth of coal to keep our steel making plant going (after closing one in Wales) shortly after closing our mines down. Are we to assume that Japanese coal is the clean stuff and shipping it across the ocean will not add to our carbon footprint? Same as all the LPG we import from the States which has to be de -gassified upon leaving then re gassified when it gets here,which is not  cheap process.
All in aid of being able to say 'look how great we are, we don't dig for coal or gas'

I said many years ago (before Brexit was voted for) that Farage was a future Prime Minister 1 day and a great statesman. And it could well be at the next General Election it happens..

According to Bloomberg the European Union has an offer on the table that removes Tarrifs and removes trade barriers to the US and includes investment in the USA.
