Only one seat removed from a massive Labour majority, but it is significant.

Labour won the last election with a huge majority, usually a majority like that guaranteed two terms at least. However, many labour seats were not won with big majorities. It will only take some 5 or 10% swings and they lose a massive number of seats.

How often does a party given a majority like that lose a a 15,000 majority seat after 9 months in government?

Just read that Runcorn was the 16th safest seat Labour had. If they can lose that then they can lose pretty much any and every seat in their majority.

The reality is that our FPP system is not representative of the way people vote. Forget Labour’s massive Parliamentary majority because it in no way reflects the way people voted in theGE nearly a year ago.

Certain factions of the AfD such as its youth wing had already been classified extremist, while the party at large was classified a suspected extremist case in 2021.


The second biggest party classified as extremist.
I've seen snippets of stuff from Germany where people are getting a knock at the door for saying mean things about the government, but this is way beyond that.

It is something you would expect from Putin, shutting down any chance of a change in government.
