Back then we kept our managers for a bit longer than 5 months. Despite some rough years we won the FA cup twice.
Perhaps the young ones might be best advised to listen to their elders for a change. A bad season doesn’t mean the manager has lost the plot or is to be removed every 5 mins.

Re: Potter Out
Talking about the firing of previous managers, it's pretty noticeable that Sully seems much quicker to pull the trigger on foreign managers. Lopetegui got the boot when we were in 13th, Bilic and Pellegrini at 17th, and all three when there were many, many games left to turn things round. Moyes and Allardyce, on the other hand, had us 18th and 19th in February without getting a sniff of the bullet (and even got to keep their jobs the following seasons). If Sully stays true to form that means Potter will be given a proper go at getting us relegated next season.

Moyes did well to see out a contract, and given how poor our league form was running into that final season it shows the patience of West Ham fans.
none of those managers were hounded out. Even Avram Grant got an entire season. Same with Roeder. A better run club would have ditched both and maybe not been relegated.
Spot on
I’ve been on this site for a long time, I’ve only piped up this year cos I’ve seen two managers pick the wrong sides over and over again

Re: Potter Out
Potter’s going nowhere until a few months into next season and only then if nothing gets any better in terms of results. We all know it which is why there is so much frustration . Unfortunately we have no control or influence and only ever did when pitch invasions were possible. Those days are long gone. The match attending crowd has been sanitised via GSB with preference for daily tourists paying a lot more than someone who is one of those annoying lifetime supporters and see being a part of a “West Ham community” as more important than anything else with family links back to the club’s industrial roots. Now its all about who will pay the most. West Ham fan? Who cares, just pay up, razxle dazzle.
So blind faith is probably the best state of mind to have in the current circumstances. Hope the summer transfer window and some devine intervention or something effects a turn around that borders on the stuff of miracles.
The more likely outcome is we keep stumbling on with Potter, a half arsed transfer window where, under the negotiating of Sullivan, we unsurprisingly miss most targets ( young, up and coming ) and Sullivan tells us how he “saved the day” via his agents on the last few days before the window closes. A nice exciting relegation fight yet again, Potter binned and Sullivan appoints the next out if work “safe pair of hands”

even Roeders first season was decent
Pardew’s first season in the premier league was one of my favourites
and the first season of Bilic saw us get the biggest results we’ve ever had against the best clubsAnd how did all these managers spell end? Were they hounded out by the fans?
And some were masters of their own downfall
Pardew started fucking one of his players wives, and didn’t rate either of the two world class Argentinians that were gifted to him
Bilic was never the same after Payet requested to leave, lost the plot and started playing Antonio at right back, although this all could of been avoided if Sullivan had backed him financially after such a quality season

It’s a shame how the Potter lovers can’t keep off this thread if it bothers them so much
I don’t know what’s more embarrassing, how bad he is of a coach or your pathetic inability to admit Sullivan has fucked it again
