Guessand has played an important role for Nice this season, contributing 12 goals and nine assists. West Ham United may revisit a move for RB Salzburg star Mamady Diambou in the summer transfer window, according to reports - with the Hammers not being deterred by their failure to land the Mali international from last summer as they prepare an improved bid.

The London Stadium outfit have seen the likes of Guido Rodriguez, Edson Alvarez and Carlos Soler all fail to stamp their mark on the club this season, leading to what will be a huge turnover of midfielders in the capital - and that could see them try to snap up Diambou in the process.

The Hammers are looking to improve their ranks after a below-par Premier League campaign and are looking at potential reinforcements for their midfield ahead of next season, and as a result, they remain 'interested' in Salzburg star Diambou.

The Premier League outfit will do 'everything possible' to land him in the summer transfer window, having seen the 22-year-old shine in Austria over the past two seasons, and that could see them make a move in the summer transfer window.

The Hammers aren't giving up on their pursuit of the midfield star, having already made an offer for him the summer before he extended his contract in the Austrian Bundesliga until 2028, avoiding his exit on a free transfer. But Graham Potter is still keen on Diambou's services despite having three years left on his contract, and the Irons could make an offer of £5million to bring him to the capital.

It's seen the club 'relaunch' negotiations with the 17-time champions, having been an important part of Salzburg's squad over the past two seasons with the club's official social media account labelling him as 'incredible' - and despite interest from German Bundesliga outfit Freiburg, the Hammers could look to get a cheap deal over the line for the Malian.

Diambou came from the same youth team as current Manchester United starlet Sekou Kone, spending two seasons on loan at feeder club FC Liefering, before establishing himself as a star player at Salzburg - and with the Hammers set for a midfield rebuild in the summer transfer window, that could see Diambou come into their ranks in what will be a busy transfer window.
