WHUFC Man Utd vs West Ham | PL | 11.5.25 | Predictions & Match Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

A game not dissimilar to last week's encounter with Spurs, against a team that has had a terrible season by their standards.

There are many parallels to us, with them hiring a new manager that prefers to play a back 3, and it not going well at all...but with most of the fan base hanging onto the fact they're 'not his players'.

Sadly though one of either our opponents last week or this week will end up playing in the Champions League next season. Whilst we'll end up with a squad decimated by the loss of our saleable stars, punts on a load of unknown foreigners, journeymen, and lower league hopes, and Cock Piss Potter clinging to Premier League survival.

Anyway, this game...with Man Utd having played Thursday, we should have the edge in terms of energy, but at the same time they have a reason to stay sharp, and we have a squad more than likely already on the beach, along with on going rumours of squad friction and divide.

Prediction:

Away at Old Trafford, Potter's side are in an undesirable patter of draw-loss-draw-loss....and last time out was a draw.

So...predict a limp defeat here. 0-2.

Lineup.

At this point it feels somewhat immaterial who pulls on the shirt, but likely a lot will depend on if Paqueta is in the right frame of mind to play with more of his Kangaroo Court Case looming.
Areola

Todibo Mavropanos Cresswell

Wan Bissaka  Soucek. Paqueta. Emerson

Bowen. Füllkrug. Kudus
Feels like only two positions are debatable...does the error strewn 40m Kilman keep his spot over equally error strewn Mavropanos, and is Paqueta good to go.  Other than that the team looks like picking itself.

Fuck me that’s the most depressing line up yet.
He’s just digging his own grave. I feel sorry for those who have travelled as I can’t see us offering anything from an attacking point of view.
Come back Loppy. All is forgiven.

Nah, he was embarrassing himself at Chelsea as well. Don't give him any credit he knows what he is doing, even risking trolling us.

That’s pretty mental. Against a struggling team, and he pulls that out. No youth team kids again either. What a cսnt.

I’m quicker and more mobile than our midfield 3!

I’m guessing that he is just seeing what Rodriguez can do before he bins him off.

3-0 to Man Utd.

It's alright, managed to dig out the full list of horrors...

The clueless 🤡 has yet again shunned the Academy boys on the Bench. Fuck knows what anyone saw in Partridge, he was always doomed to fail and not to be trusted with our Team if he cannot even be bothered to put some Academy kids on the bench with fuck all now to play for. 💩

I would much prefer to comment on a performance rather than a selection, but... fuck my old boots!

I don’t normally get wind up by stuff like this, but that is a ridiculous team. Fuck sake. Fullkrug looks good, and Potter pulls some sort of power trip move on him - even if he’s injured/not fit he’s dealt with him like this in previous matches.

Not intentionally, they are part of the problem as well with originally signing up to the Super League.
Since Abramovich is no longer at Chelsea we must be the only club left with a Russian owner? 😂

Expect another snooze fest like the Tottenham game
Man U will be managing their squad ahead of the Europa final & we’ve been on the beach for months
No excuse not to incorporate some of the u21’s ahead of those being released.

Notice you didn’t mention the US owners of Liverpool.
Understand Villa is owned by two billionaires from Egypt & the USA
I don’t care where our owners come from as long as they appoint competent football people & get out of the way

We maybe have a good chance in this game? Not as we are especially good because we are not but more they have one eye on the Europa final and even Amorim has admitted that’s the priority for them and not the PL, Roy Keane has called it a disgrace, and he’s right!

Will go one of those 0-1 away days and people creaming their pants about it, wont change much except ease some pressure on Potter, so all in all not sure we will be able to take anything meaningful away from this game, Southampton or Ipswich could just as easily get a result IMO.

Far too many meddling Yanks taking over our Sport that I think it's leading to it's downfall. Once they get to the top of the table, it then makes it easier for them to dilute the game to their way of thinking which is utter shite and jarring to our traditions. From Boehly to the Glazers none of these wankers have a fucking clue, other than rinsing Clubs and the game itself they prove time and again that they have fuck all understanding or respect for it. Super League this, or change the traditions that and I fucking hate it. They're ruining the game.

Areola, Wan Bissaka, Scarles, Todibo, Mavropanos, Bowen, Guilherme Fullkrug + 3 U21 midfielders.

If Potter tries this I'll be content.
