Thank God someone at the club knows how to win
West Ham United women’s team secured a 3-0 victory in a behind-closed-doors friendly over fellow Barclays Women’s Super League side Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

The GLA are mental. They keep trying to sue us on stupid things that common senss tells you ain't going to work and which they lose ending up with the court costs. Are they just lawers looking for ways to bill more hours?

Not sure why the GLA are upset about it, surely the club are quite right not to hold matches at the ground if attendances are so low, also not good for the fans or players to play in an empty stadium, guessing it's going to be for woke reasons, diversity, and inclusion etc aren't most government authorities in the UK this way nowadays.

Were the Women's team's games ever included in the original contract discussions regarding our tenancy? I can't recall a single mention of them and them being required to play at the bowl. Even the stiffs play elsewhere.
This just stinks of the civil servants trying to regain a sliver of the whole face they lost setting up the lease.

Not sure why the GLA are upset about it or they should not expect the club to pay the same as when Mens games are put on if attendances are so low, also not good for the fans or players to play in an empty stadium, guessing it's going to be for woke reasons, diversity, and inclusion etc aren't most government authorities in the UK this way nowadays.
West Ham locked in another row with their London Stadium landlords as tensions erupts over cost of staging Women's Super League matches | Daily Mail Online
A West Ham statement said: ‘Securing another Women’s game at London Stadium is a key priority for West Ham United, one the club have been working on tirelessly for some time and remain fully committed to delivering.
This can only happen in line with the dual commitment to growth and sustainability for West Ham United Women, an approach supported in updated WSL governance guidance.‘
West Ham United strive for parity between the men’s and women’s teams, wherever practically possible and as such are willing to invest the sums required to put on a game at the London Stadium. The barrier to progress is the excessive charges E20 are demanding to host West Ham United Women, significantly more than the comparative costs to stage Men’s home games.
‘The club remains hopeful of reaching a fair way forward for Women’s Football at the London Stadium.’

As I said I agree with the ruling and that in the WSL it's just women. I also think women, men and whatever comes in between should have a choice and play football with who they want. Considering the ruling that would need to be in another league or amateur or something. I guess a trans can officially play with the men though? Or would a very good trans player just be excluded from most football? Do trans women exist? That is to say a women that believes she is a man? I guess they cannot play in mens football?I am not reading too much into it. You are doubling down on it here with this post.
You need a high court ruling to inform you whether it's right or wrong for a bloke to play against women by self declaring his gender as a woman?
And "what ever comes in between"? Nothing comes in between. There are only two sexes: a man and a women. It is and always should have been clear that a man can't play professional sports like football against women once they pass the age of puberty.
Do trans women exist? Yes there are men who think they are women and vice versa. It can be a disorder called gender dysphoria but can also include people with paraphilia; it's difficult to distinguish which is which. But whatever they think they are and however they want to dress they remain the sex that they were born. And it's their sex that informs what team they play for. We separate women and men not because of how they like to dress or whether they wear make-up or not but because men are at least 50% stronger than women. It's an important distinction.
And whatever they believe they are no-one is stopping them playing football. Just respect the biological distinctions between men and women and keep women safe by stopping biological men playing in a women's team. This is just basic human decency that needs no court case to determine.
I agree Wils.

It's not career limiting, that's obvious once you've spent more than a two week package tour holiday in these places.
Many girls/boys/trans, however migrate into the sex industry as there simply are no other employment options available and they often have families to support. Many leave the country to work abroad for exactly the same reasons (no alternative local jobs).
The western MSN, however seems fixated on the sex industry in these nations...as if there's not the exact equivalent in their home towns to report on.

Whilst you make an interesting point, trans isn't the same as gay.
Re: West Ham United Women
Wils is right on this one, if you're saying - post legal ruling - that it's ok for a women's team to invite a trans to play then you are literally saying that it's ok for them to use men in their team. Which it isn't.

Leicester City Women 4:2 West Ham United Women
Lost the last game of the season. Finished 9th in the league.
Improved quite a bit from last season, but these last 2 loses were a shame and undid the good work to get into the top half of the table.
