Re: FA cup final
I bet you ask that to a lot of strangers on the internet...
FWIW I'm above your target demographic.

Re: FA cup final
Regarding Haaland, always thought that if he’d gone to Liverpool he would be scoring twice the amount he does at city, with Trent and Robinson playing the long balls and crosses in, that city just don’t he would have loved it.

Re: FA cup final
Haaland was beyond terrible yesterday. He's either carrying an injury or he's sulking. it wouldn't surprise me if he's completely washed up by his late 20s . Like Torres and Fowler .

Re: FA cup final
Ah, I see. They're now saying it was only a "possible" goal scoring chance not an "obvious" goal scoring chance. Oh, well that's alright then...

Re: FA cup final
Guehi is out of contract this season or next so likely off in the summer
Wharton & Eze are outstanding finds from the Championship & will be in demand. Probably Munoz & Mateta too
Glasner is a class act & will be in demand further up the food chain too
Thats the fate of small clubs like Palace so should enjoy their day in the sun

The penalty and the ten minute extra time were definitely designed to right their wrong but credit to Palace for clinging on when even the officials turned against them under immense pressure. It wasn't pretty but they're harmless and you have to love an underdog winning.
Quite right. Let them have their day in the sun, don't begrudge them it and a nice underdog story that proves the FA Cup is somehow still alive and kicking. It doesn't now mean Palace don't have a shit history of barely winning anything having waited all this time for their 1st ever major Cup and will still live in our shadows in the grand scheme of things. They are in a very healthy place right though going forward.

Re: FA cup final
Where proper thickos like Shearer on commentary and the Officials got it confused was their reasoning being the ball was travelling away from goal, so it wasn't a goalscoring opportunity. No. Had the Keeper not made an offence by illegally touching the ball outside the area just before Haaland got a toe to the ball, then the ball would never be travelling away from goal you utterly thick bunch of wankers. It's the reason Henderson did what he did because he knew he was in a desperate situation.
Thing is, had VAR not existed and they relied on only the Officials on the pitch, then it could be more excused as the Officals could hode behind not seeing the incident clearly. Still would have been poor but you could live with the decision more. However after countless reviews of every camera angle available, with the obvious staring the VAR wankers in the face, they still managed to royally fuck it up which is inexcusable. I don't even think they sent the Ref to the monitor, did they? An utter shambles of a technology that has to be ditched.

Re: FA cup final
Palace did play absolute Moyesball. But fair play. They snuck their goal from a break, defended like their lives depended on it to a man. They really rode their luck (the footballing gods were 100% on their side) and city were not at the races. Thems the breaks. On another day it would have been 4-1 city.

Re: FA cup final
Make no mistake, Palace were extremely lucky regarding Henderson staying on the pitch early in the 1st half which would have been game over. That was on VAR and a dopey Ref though fucking that up but especially VAR who took an age to still come up with a monumental error that effectively decided the game. Henderson even went on to save the penalty, although again saying that, VAR got that decision badly wrong as well as that was clearly never a penalty as the Defender got a touch of the ball in the same action.
Conclusion - VAR has ruined the game where huge errors are being made and it taking an age only to still come to the wrong conclusion which is part of the reason why there was so much time added on. And the cherry on the top was the Yank style Umpire cringe walky talky moment to proudly announce to every cսnt who had to listen to how they just made a huge fuck up in a major Final on the world stage. Fucking impressive shit that with VAR surpassing itself for being the worst thing to ever happen to the game in modern times.

Re: FA cup final
palace produced the best passages of play in the game, far less boring than the tedious ten thousand passes before a shot shit those city cunts execute, game after game. and who cares about the marginal handball, when they got awarded a marginal penalty and they're bringing on the so-called 'next messi', who they bought whilst still not having answered to any of the 100+ FA charges. the cսnt atwell even added a non existent ten minutes of injury time, to try and get them back in the game. a win by any of these smaller clubs should be appreciated, especially at a time when the authorities and media couldn't do any more to favour/help the usual six or seven clubs

Re: FA cup final
Not far off
6 subs made, few injuries & some lying on the ground with pretend injuries & Henderson booked for taking an age over a goal kick
Still kept doing it but don’t believe a keeper has EVER got two yellows for that

What an odd thing to say. So Palace we're anti-football but presumably Man City weren't? ,Yet had nothing?
I enjoyed s'oton beating Man Utd
I enjoyed the crazy gamg beating the scouse
I enjoyed Wigan beating Man City
I hated Moyes
You should try not to overthink things, it doesn't look you have any spare capacity

Re: FA cup final
10 seemed a bit excessive, but there was quite a bit of falling over injured and not getting up and some VAR waiting nonsense.

Re: FA cup final
Referee and all the other officials bottled it. It would have been an easy red in parks football so no excuse for not giving it.

Re: FA cup final
I don’t blame the ref for not being sure that Henderson had touched it just outside the area and the sideways shot shows the lino 10 yds behind
But VAR should have told the ref it was outside the area & sent him to the screen to decide if it was denying a goal scoring opportunity
Same old story, VAR has the tools to get it right but it’s being administered by tools

Worst part is they didn't need to do it, City had nothing about them on the day. They were a yard off the pace, lacking ideas and a defensive shambles.

Re: FA cup final
Should have been a red card. Without Henderson batting it away Haaland would have touched it past him & had a definite scoring opportunity
Don’t buy this he was going away from goal bollocks
Pep comes on to have a go at Henderson … if you lose shake hands & get off the pitch
Reckon old baldy needs a rethink. His endless side to side passing is pointless without it creating an overload & an opening
Grealish has to leave amongst others
Can’t get a start when they’ve been poor & with 15 mins to go Pep gives a kid his debut rather than trust Grealish
