Agree Alf - trying to play a different way but without the players and pace to make it work, big window incoming and we need to make every signing count because we've signed some real shite recently

Effectively playing with EIGHT Defensive players styled in Potter's Footballing philosophy akin to Moyes.

We even have 2 quality Strikers yet again on the Bench and not 1 of them ever starts anymore, especially since Potter got told how such a shit manager he is.

He compounds it further by playing 1 of the worst player's to ever play for us Rodriguez over Alvarez, yet another high profile signing who's been shunned because of alleged arguing with Potter.

And not even 1 Academy player on the Bench like Potts and Earthy energetic midfielders who both had decent seasons to maybe look forward to seeing.

Potter hasn't got a fucking clue and it's all so predictable and painful to watch. 🤡

I lost count of the amount of times in that half that whilst trying to play the ball out from the back our players passed the ball behind the man they was trying to pass it to

If he put out an attacking side from our squad Id wager we would be carved up open thru the middle.

I actually see what he is trying to get us to do ( actually prefer it to the low block 30% possession game of the last 4 seasons ) but we simply do not have the squad to do it well / effectively.  We are still better suited to that low block Moyesball in many ways imo. Needs some different profile players ( esp midfield ) for Potter’s controlled possession game to work better.  The thing is it takes a culture or mind set change, that takes time but if we keep Potter ( we are like it or not )  he has to stick with it and hope it becomes 2nd nature for those players that remain next season. Then hopefully we get some legs in midfield, another fast, strong target man and they make it work better.  Lets be honest, Coufal and Soucek, Rodruiguez, JWP and 35 year old Cresswell in the same team. Only 1 or 2 will be here next season and not necessarily starting many games.

He plays 4 at the back we risk being undone down the flanks by this Forest side esp the left flank as Cresswell and even Scarles lack the pace needed against the likes of Elanga who is rapid.

Potter may well not be the answer but we wont change now so have to give him a window before totally writing him off as “shite”.  He might be but its not certain to me yet as I do see some flashes of play where you can see it could work with some different profile players

Too slow moving the ball
Snail like midfield
Keeper poor with his feet trying to play out through centre halves who are poor on the ball
Put a striker on the pitch
Play FORWARD with some tempo you cunts

Sullivan excels in seeking the safe pair of hands type manager to play the dull defensive football that gets you enough points to stay up with a few humiliations and beatings thrown in along the way.
