Europa League final

Post Mad Ferret »

Let’s now look ahead to this huge game on Wednesday.

I guess we’re all gonna be cheering on the Red Devils in this one?

Spurs are missing some key players, but unfortunately I believe it’s just their time to end the drought.

Massively envious of the two finalists here, both have had similarly disastrous domestic campaigns, yet both had very impressive European runs.

It's right they dont allow the Champions League dregs fall down in to it anymore but doing away with group stages and making it in to 1 giant League format has created what we see today.
And you can add the increase in the number of teams in the CL under it's new format taking more of the 'cream'. Leaves quite a shallow pool
It's only 4 extra clubs I think.

Take your point but there were some good sides in the EL still, Lazio and Atletico went out in the QF and SF respectively and they are top 6 in Spain and Italy. A couple of other decent sides too no doubt.
Yeah, only 4 extra... but I think those 4 become more significant when added to no drop downs (and no group format)

Athletico were in the CL.

the last 8 was spurs, MU, Lyon, Frankfurt, Rangers, Bilbao, Lazio & Bodo.

Its a very different competition now, but let’s not pretend we beat anyone of note in winning the conference league.

Fuck sake 🙄, football isn’t just about West Ham. And lets face it our games are abject shit at the moment, and not like we are going down or have anything to play of so yeah not bothered until August rolls around!

A European final as a neutral sparks far more interest right now even if it is between 2 cunty sides, will also take a keen interest in the Conference and CL finals if thats ok with you?

This is why I said I couldn't give a fuck who wins it, was a load of shit from two shit teams. Man Utd are in a world of trouble now. Suspect the Aussie will stay on but it seems a bit complex behind the scenes there, apparently the technical director is a huge fan of Thomas Frank and the old DoF, the Italian fella who was banned, might be coming back, so anything is possible.

If ManU had binned Amorim about a month ago they would have won that i reckon? Never have i seen such a poor effort from a team in a final, no urgency even towards the end, Amorim looks like the Portuguese Potter🤣 has made ETH look very good, team have gone back massively since he took over. rumour is he has offered to quit🤷‍♂️.

Expect big Ange will keep his job now, very hard to boot a manager after they win a major Trophy, but he could be an early casualty next season if the league form continues!

See the other side of North Londan have been piping up🤣 (as they did when we won a Cup), claiming they have had the better season, being bridesmaids again and a SF in the CL🙄

Well deserved Shrimpers. Both Teams put on a proper show of quality on the pitch with both sides trying hard to win a game instead of not losing it, which is very refreshing to see in the modern game. 👏

The only positives …
Man U don’t get £100m & Champions league and their squad is utter crap. Their decline will continue

Arsenal tv should be a good watch. The little cսnt in head to toe merchandise has probably spontaneously combusted

Spurs get a scrappy goal and then park the bus, 27% possession and 1 (one) shot on goal, ManU clueless about what to do, no urgency, little if any game plan except keep possession with the sideways and back blueprint, how the fuck Amorim was rated so highly is beyond me????

Nauseating scenes in Bilbao now, but fuck me maybe the worst final i have ever seen.

I don't actually give a toss who won out of them two but that must be one of the worst European finals ever.
Two poor teams dishing up an embarrassing football match falling over over the slightest contact.
match.A great advert of how not to play football.
