Europa League final
Let’s now look ahead to this huge game on Wednesday.
I guess we’re all gonna be cheering on the Red Devils in this one?
Spurs are missing some key players, but unfortunately I believe it’s just their time to end the drought.
Massively envious of the two finalists here, both have had similarly disastrous domestic campaigns, yet both had very impressive European runs.

Prague wasn’t full either, but we still had 30,000 outside and many had to pay £14/1500 for their tickets. What I learnt in Prague is that touts don’t drop there prices at the last minute.

Yes, a local home grown player can be a mercenary too so the recruitment of your core Brits is perhaps the most important recruitment you will have to do. In our case we have Wan and Bowen. We need several more strong British characters who give a huge shit for the club.
Completely agree with this. Having a connection with the fans can make up for a lot of shortcomings in the players themselves. There are so many in that youth team from a couple of years ago with strong connections to the club and actually support the club but where are they all? They should be making a lot more effort to bring those players through even if they are not quite ready as we saw with Scarles in the Liverpool game.

Re: Europa League final
Rashford their highest paid player. 70m Sancho, 80m Anthony all out on loan.
Had to move on one of their most talented players (Greenwood).
The club is even more of a mess than us!

Hopefully by next season Scarles will be fully integrated and we will see more of Potts.
Think a player like Delap will be the perfect fit for us but likely be heading elsewhere.
Re: Europa League final
Cunha is just another player that wont suit their system. Delap may be decent for them. They need to get young hungry players in.
when you think Onana, Anthony, Hojund, Zirkzee,Casemiro, Mount, Yoro, Ugarte, Dorgu and Maguire cost about £500M ...... jesus wept!

Re: Europa League final
I see Amorim said if the board don’t want him he is prepared to walk away with no compensation
Careful what you wish for!
Sir Jim Catweazles eyes will have lit up
I see they reckon they are buying Cunha, Delap and/or Gykores
Thought their FFP situation was drastic due to losses?
They have a squad where 3 quarters are overpaid & not good enough
Good luck sorting that out

Re: Europa League final
More proof that 4 at the back is much better than playing 3/5 at the back.
I'll hold my hand up and say I was one of the ones banging the Amorim drum. But that team selection had me scratching my head similar to the way Potter's do.

Re: Europa League final
Fernandes was too deep, needed to be further forward to create something
Garnacho always looks their most dangerous player along with Amad as he carries the ball & takes players on
To pick Mount ahead of him was crazy
Of course both of their centre forwards Hojlund & then Zirkzee were both dog shit … £100m for that pair? Wow

Re: Europa League final
Poor team selection from Amorim cost them last night even though they should still have had enough to beat a dog shit Tottenham side.
Dallot slung in more crosses in the ten minutes he played than what we saw in the previous 80 mins, he should have started as should have Garnacho.
Could and would have been a totally different game had he started with the right team.

Re: Europa League final
On his day, far too inconsistent and petulant for me to be considered a top player. They rely on him as the rest of the team is absolute dogshit. He doesn't get near Liverpool, City and maybe even the Arsenal team.
Last night they needed leadership and a top performance, instead they got him diving and crying to the ref every 2 mins.

Re: Europa League final
i've never really rated Bruno, this season pundits act like he has been one of the top midfielders in the league but its just because the rest of the Man Utd team is so so bad that he stands out a bit.
they are like us, theres 2/3 you'd want to keep and the rest can all be replaced. They are an absolute mess

Re: Europa League final
I agree. Bruno has been carrying them for some time, but he was poor against us and absolutely dreadful last night. He'll always start but if his star is waning they're in a much worse place
Re: Europa League final
Couldn't believe how bad Man Utd were. Like watching us backwards and sideways. Only threat was going wide, they doubled up on Amad and back it went and across zzzz
Absolutely nothing through the middle. Why he didnt start Garnacho I don't know. Then only gives him 20 mins to save them?
£100m down this morning, they'll be bottom half for a few more years i imagine. That club seems rotten to the core and their recruitment has been embarrasing for 10 years now. Billions spunked on players who wouldnt get in many other teams.

Re: Europa League final
With the riches of the PL, I think we'll see middling English sides go deep in the Europa/Conference pretty much every year now. Foreign clubs just can't compete, even some really big foreign clubs. The Champions League is different, as its won by super clubs.
It wouldn't at all surprise me to see Crystal Palace get to the latter stages of the Europa next season, especially as their manager knows how to win the tournament.

Re: Europa League final
Yeah, no point. It's just a football conversation. On a football forum. It's nothing to do with N17 winning it, nor am I making any comparison to us. I'd be having it if the mancs had won... or Bodo Glint
They've undermined the tournament imho and it is now, without doubt, the easiest route into the £100m CL bonanza by some considerable distance

Re: Europa League final
Apart from the fact the Inter Toto only lasted a few weeks, whereas this takes up 10 months.
That was a well thought out comment.

Re: Europa League final
Still a decent last 8, besides what exactly is the point of this convo anyway? They won it, watered down or not, and won't give a fuck what anyone on here thinks. It's still a big trophy and entry into the CL. We won something only marginally better than the Inter Toto but were still happy.
