Europa League final

Post Mad Ferret »

Let’s now look ahead to this huge game on Wednesday.

I guess we’re all gonna be cheering on the Red Devils in this one?

Spurs are missing some key players, but unfortunately I believe it’s just their time to end the drought.

Massively envious of the two finalists here, both have had similarly disastrous domestic campaigns, yet both had very impressive European runs.

Knew you wouldn't have an answer to that. The world of Football is still laughing at Spurs and how they finally broke their long awaited hunt for a Trophy. The worst Final in history they're all calling it in the Media and amongst other Football fans. And beating the mighty Qarabag, Elfsborg, Ferencvaros, Hoffenheim and Bodo/Glimt to achieve it! 🤣

Pass completion Spurs 60%  Man Utd 84%

Most Fouls Spurs 22 Man Utd 10

Spurs total shots 3 to Man Utd 16

Spurs shot(s) on target 1* Man Utd 6

Corners Spurs 4 Man Utd 5

*The only goal of the game was scored mainly due to Shaws handball

He managed to even Out-Moyes, Moyes! 🤣

Such was their sheer desperation to win a Cup at long last and at all costs, they abandoned all principles in the most Anti-Football manner going in a showpiece Final and effectively only achieved it due to how spectacularly bad Man Utd are, not because of how good they were.

Yes they've finally won a newly easy formatted Cup after 17 long years but my God they look pathetic in the process in doing so, who also currently sit 17th in the League with their embarrassment of riches available to them.
The history books won't give two hoots bout that!
Well at least you now admit you aint at all fussed about your Team playing Football the right way and happy to just win at all costs.

26% possession and only completed 60% of those passes, whilst fouling 22 times you dirty anti-Football gutless wankers! 🤣🤣🤣
Nothing to do with my team, just giving a bit of balance .

No one established anything.
You posted some more 'look at me' shit and made yourself look even more of an arsehole than usual but carry on, you really are going from strength to strength on that score.

Didn't we establish that you never go and watch West Ham and therefore you can not call yourself a supporter, and therefore should not be addressing me?

Have some respect to the fans who go and watch West Ham

Something else that sticks out when considering the demise of Man Utd is that win against them by us recently. Any useless Club can beat them now it seems, so much so a piss poor Spurs side can beat them to a Trophy without even playing Football.

I see this final made the headlines today,.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/20 ... gue-final/

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footb ... -hype.html

Even the BBC was putting the boot in...

"Spurs and Man Utd meet in worst-form European final"
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/ar ... 9px2308g4o

NyTimes:

"Tottenham's meeting with Manchester United in Bilbao was statistically the worst European final of all time and, regrettably, it showed."

People around Europe will be going online to look at the premier league table trying to find out about who the teams are playing in the final. It's a bit embarrassing and demeans the competition to have such lowly entities competing in a final.
Unfortunately, the record books won’t have any emotion towards anything contextual

The facts are Sp*rs have won a main European trophy and we are going to have to lie low for a while.

it’s a hard one to take!

Lets hope you're right. Spurs have the unenviable record of 'winning' a trophy in the lowest ever league position in it's history. This is terrible for all of us that take this competition seriously. I really hope the competition can recover its esteem amongst football fans. Be such a shame if this this marked the beginning of the end of it.
