Re: Daily Quiz anyone?
Know what you mean Zeb. That Patients Know Best website is like that. You take a blood test and part of it might say "results available a month later". Panic sets in but apparently there seems no rhyme or reason for why some results show up and some don't. Creating worry for no reason at all. And don't get me started on when you sit down with a consultant you have been referred to and the first thing they ask is "right why are you here?" Seemingly no notes, nothing. Anyway I mustn't use this thread to vent. Glad there wasn't anything dodgy going on with you, although i'm sure asthma is no picnic.
Re: Daily Quiz anyone?
15 today thanks zico.
I know what you mean about the arbitrary ways of GPs.
As part of an investigation into my dodgy lungs I was sent by the GP for a chest X-Ray and other hospital tests.
Three weeks after the X-Ray I was texted by the GP with an appointment for the week after. I was pretty nervous as they has not told me the results of anything. When I went to the appointment the first thing the GP did was take my blood pressure and she asked me if I was anxious. Of course I bloody was!
She finally got round to telling me the X-Ray and spiralization test showed that I did not have lung cancer or COPD but was asthmatic.
All it would have taken was a quick call to stop me worrying.

Oh yes, it's at least a month wait for a "phone consultation" with ours and I have given up on the hospital referral they forwarded over two years ago, in fact I have forgotten what I was referred for! Now it's diagnosis or should I say "misdiagnosis" by photograph which you send through, which must be a tad embarrassing for anyone with a haemorrhoid or lower region issue! Bet video consultations must be interesting!
Funny thing is when I do get to the surgery hardly anyone is in the waiting room! Must all be on the phone!
