WHUFC Ipswich Vs West Ham | PL | 25.5.25 | End of Season Predictions and Match Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

So...finally this drab shitter of a season draws to a close. Away at the Tractor Boys to wrap up.

Lopetegui...a blinking incoherent mentalist. Potter...like the monotone Geography teacher in the worn out grey blazer...uninspiring , and just dull.  Sullivan as ever the goblin at large, making success by design an impossibility

So good fucking riddance 24/25...on to what almost inevitably will be a relegation battle next season. But first, let's turn over this mob.

Prediction: 1-2 West Ham...Guilherme off the mark. Fullkrug to score and then give Potter the bird. Kilman own goal to compound his form drop off in the second half.

What say the rest of you fucktards? COYI!

Bowen has at last forced a save at least, otherwise its slim pickings, two goal shy sides canceling each other out,

It's our midfield making them looking clumsy.
Soucek is such a useless midfielder

So the midfielders made Kilman kung fu chop in the back that Ipswich player?

This is fucking pitiful. Up against a feeble Ipswich and after more than 30 minutes we’ve not had a shot. Potter has proven himself to be both negative and clueless.

I don't know why but the complete lack of a basic level of ability and the absence of quality in this squad always takes me by surprise 🤣

Lots of pretty football but we're not punishing them.

This.

He's spent 6 months getting us to pass the ball around but without actually breaking down any opponent. He doesnt pull there defenders around at all. It's so obvious and been going on for months now.

You need to overload them, even in midfield or further to pull their defence apart to bring gaps so we can have chances. But he is so more interested in retaining possession he doesnt want to let any players move out of position.

We generally need a team to tire out and lose their discipline so there are gaps for us to play into. Otherwise, there's nothing really on. This is every week. The same way all the time. I dont get what positives people are seeing in this?

Ben Johnson sat there looking very pensive... doubt this is what he had in mind when he made the move.

So cock, piss, Potter not surprisingly ends his first 6 months in charge not with a bang, but a whimper.
1 win in the last 10 is certain relegation form so if you think this season has been shit you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

He has been struggling for weeks tbh.  So only Paqueta really missing from the strongest 11 otherwise?  Shows you how few options we have in this squad.  Yes he could have played Orford or give him a cameo but probably will leave that to pre season.

Alvarez and Soucek the 2 in the starting 11 that may be on their way if we need the cash but we shall soon seen.

It feels and is essentially like a pre season game.
The last 8 or so games have effectively been pre-season games.

Why the fuck he never gave some of the youth minutes in those matches to assess them is mystifying, unless he was under instructions to not put the saleable academy assets at risk.

Somebody had better tell Potts to not bother unpacking his suitcase / travel bag.
