Ipswich Vs West Ham | PL | 25.5.25 | End of Season Predictions and Match Thread
So...finally this drab shitter of a season draws to a close. Away at the Tractor Boys to wrap up.
Lopetegui...a blinking incoherent mentalist. Potter...like the monotone Geography teacher in the worn out grey blazer...uninspiring , and just dull. Sullivan as ever the goblin at large, making success by design an impossibility
So good fucking riddance 24/25...on to what almost inevitably will be a relegation battle next season. But first, let's turn over this mob.
Prediction: 1-2 West Ham...Guilherme off the mark. Fullkrug to score and then give Potter the bird. Kilman own goal to compound his form drop off in the second half.
What say the rest of you fucktards? COYI!

Spot on Alf, we've had multiple managers and spent a fortune on players but apart from that fantastic night in Prague we've had very little to show for our loyalty to the club. The problem is I don't really want a bunch of yanks or corrupt foreigners owning us either!
Re: Ipswich Vs West Ham | PL | 25.5.25 | End of Season Predictions and Match Thread
Villa submitting a complaint about the inexperience of the Ref in charge of their game for all the good it will do them. TBF their goal should have stood, even a point would have got them CL.

Not sure I get that. Should he be more unhappy than Bowen who celebrated when he scored?

What a fucking relief that season is over.
Dismal, from start to finish. Saved only by the fact that some of the worst teams ever to grace the top division we’re even worse than us.
Two absolutely clueless managers. In-fighting in the squad, which somehow also included a bunch of disinterested muppets, a “star” player clearly distracted by a potential ban, a large group of slow and poor granddads on mental wages, a striker hell bent on driving into things, and some of the worst loan signings in recent memory (Wayne Quinn eat your heart out).
That was even more dire than Danny himself.
See you in August.

"Almost done scraping the last bit at the bottom"

Re: Ipswich Vs West Ham | PL | 25.5.25 | End of Season Predictions and Match Thread
A bit of perspective:
We have finished lower than this in the last 6 years.
Only 3 of those 6 years have we finished higher.
We finished above two teams we love to beat.
Arsenal didn't win the league.
Things can improve.
Other than that. Good riddance to the 24/25 season.

Potter will be fine, we will be fine.
We will see some young, strong and athletic players in midfield plus the return of Summerville on the left.
There is always sunshine after the darkest days.

Yeah and we couldn't beat their reserves and got thrashed by their first team..
Re: Ipswich Vs West Ham | PL | 25.5.25 | End of Season Predictions and Match Thread
I do not think any manager can sustain any kind of success under Sullivan. Moyes managed 18 - 24 months of pretty impressive league results. Thats the best era in 15 years of Sullivan ownership isnt it?

Re: Ipswich Vs West Ham | PL | 25.5.25 | End of Season Predictions and Match Thread
Worst case scenario should that happen, the worst of all worlds. Should they sack him in October it'll mean not only will he have confirmed what a totally useless cսnt he is, but it'll also mean the Summer window will have just closed as well. A new manager then having to come in having to manage Potters signings with no pre-season and the pressure immediately on to get us playing or risk seeing yet another season written off early.
If we had shrewd smart Owners they'd pull the plug on this tit and say thanks but no thanks before seriously going for someone who could take us forward and have a full summer transfer window themselves. All we are doing now is fannying around the edges prolonging the agony further until the inevitable eventually happens.

Positive end to a truly bland season of football. I think we all acknowledged that to move on from the Moyes style was going to take a season or two in transition but boy do we make it hard on ourselves.
Is potter the man? Who really knows. We won’t have the answer until well into next season. The comings and goings in the summer are going to be the most crucial in a long time. Hope Bowen sticks around as he’s out heartbeat and we would truly lose any impetus without him. A lot of the others we have to move on.
nothing more to say. Onwards!

Nice to end with a win but what a dreadful season.
Onwards and upwards.
If they did I hope they poured novichok in their drink.

That was a relief. Two great goals and a win to finish 14th takes a bit of pressure off of Potter. Had we seen out the Southampton and Brighton games it might have had me feeling positive. But that defence is fucking shocking and needs totally replacing. Potter has his work cut out this summer fixing that squad.

Spurs lost 22 games, well FMOB. Suspect if the Aussie is sent packing it will be in the coming days. Will be interesting.

It told us NOTHING, just reaffirmed we have some real fucking shit in our side. Our CB's ain't worth a fucking wank between them, how the fuck do you end up with a trio of utter cսnt like that?? I'd rather Zouma on one leg and Dawson out of retirement. Scarles needs loaning out too.
How fucking lucky were Newcastle today? Shame about Forest but they only have themselves to blame, couldn't see it through.

Due to being the worst Premier League season in history I think. God awful season.
