Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

Now, if we're debating players in our squad who don't give a fuck, Todibo would be top of that list.

Clearly couldn't care less about playing for West Ham.

Very puzzling.
Really? There's some pretty strong competition for that title. I don't think he's even the worst we have in the team at the moment, let alone all time. This is not to say he's good. Being our best centre back at the moment is the equvialent of winning gold at the special olympics.

I think that's been more to do with us playing 8 at the back.

Would there be a worse collection of centre backs in the Premier League than Aguerd, Kilman, Todibo & Mavropanos? £120mil worth of defenders there, and I'd sooner have Dawson back on his own in a back 1 than any combination of them on the pitch.

”On you’re dicka” sounds perfect for West Ham.  If only Rod Fanny had not retired. What a line up we would have had?

Kilman was pretty lucky to stay on the pitch, I thought.

God knows what he was thinking when he went in with his elbow like that.

I really hope the rumours about Todibo being parked here for a season are true. Cash in on him and Aguerd and get two proper defenders who want to head, tackle, mark players etc etc.

Kilman hasn't been great either but i dont see anyone wanting to sign him.

Emerson has put out on SOCIAL MEDIA:
'Time is the answer for everything'

Seeing as he wasn't even in the match day squad at the weekend probably means he's 99% gone this summer.  A bit of a shitty way to treat him like that, IMO.  Over 100 appearances, and part of the cup winning team.

So it's imperative we get a first team left back in this summer.  We can't rely on just Scales there.

I reckon we need a player in every single position, apart from right wing.

Really? Why so?

He's not suited to the PL - take the money and buy someone better suited.

As well as the areas mentioned, we also need a left back/wingback. Badly.

It’s hard not to get caught up in all the hype during the window, so set your expectations out before it all kicks off and revisit at the end.

For me we need:

centre forward
at least one, maybe 2 x centre midfield
centre back
keeper

then if any current first team leave they’ll need replacements - I’m thinking Kudus & Emerson primarily.

I just looked it up. It’s because of the FIFA World Club Cup, a tournament that no proper football fan gives a toss about.
