Liverpool Title Parade Incident

Post Collins Wong - A Free Man »

Someone has run down a load of scousers on their parade.

Merseyside plod already confirmed suspect is 53-year-old "white British man".

Funny how they release that info so quickly. Didn't release the ethnicity of the Southport attacker so quickly, did they?

I'm not one to indulge in stereotypes, but probably got into a fight with some Liverpool supporters trying to nick his hubcaps

But this 53-year-old white man arrested is increasingly looking like it wasn't the driver but was arrested for something else. I could be wrong.

If that is the case and the police have deliberately mislead everyone (along with most of the media who are currently blazoning that detail on their front pages) it's going to badly affect trust which is already not good.

Police press conference in a moment. So we might find out a bit more. (or less!)
I was wrong. He was the driver.

Yeah, agree after seeing the link you posted. But the incident starts on Dale St and ends up on a Water St, so how have the police missed a group of people attacking a vehicle and a car attempting to drive through a large crowed.

Something isn’t adding up at the moment.

As for Scousers; living amongst them for 6 years they’re a good lot. Speak as I find.

If that’s the case there will be some sort of CCTV to back that up. I know that area well and would assume it’ll have cameras there which will corroborate whether there was an incident beforehand. However, why I don’t think that’s likely is the footage I’ve seen he ploughs into one group, turns and then speeds up and hits more people.

No idea how he got there in the first place but he was trying to reverse out too before it all happened.

I'll not say anymore as I don;t fancy sharing a cell with Lucy Connolly

There are photos of the driver.  Doesn't look white to me. Or 53.

I am sure he knows why they do it. The question is, is that right? It makes the police seem politicised at a time when there are accusations that they are ‘two tier’ in their approach: lenient on minorities and tough on native whites.

it would make sense to be seen to be consistent with their approach.
Two-tier policing, son, two-tier policing.
