Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

Boehly and his lawyers notified that during their due diligence they discovered that under Abramovich payments had been made off the books and hidden from FFP calculations
At least a couple of years ago but the Premier league have pretended this open goal & easy charges will be ignored & hope everyone forgets about it

If there was one Club I'd love to see come unstuck regarding financial "fair play", it's Cheslea.

Because of them they have distorted the markets to ridiculous levels and everyone has been trying to play catch up ever since Abramovich came in to Town.

And all their victories will be hollow one's as far as I'm concerned. Considering the money they have spent for 2 decades now, they should be steamrolling all the competition.

They have played a huge part in ruining the game.

He will be sold this time next year. Does well.ManU will come in and pay silly money. Bog average. A German. Or Italian side pick him up for what Chelsea paid. Both agent and player make a couple of mill. And nobody skips a heart beat.

Am sure I read Delap had wanted to sign for a team in the NW
Decent enough but if Chelsea are trying to challenge for the league & Champions league then not he is good enough
I think a team like Everton or us are more his level

Chelsea are just stockpiling all the young talent so that no one else can have them.

They continue to break financial fair play rules and get away with it every year.

Other clubs should refuse to loan their players. Let the greedy bastards rot.

He will do nothing at Chelsea, he has chosen money over playing time and that is very sad.

He should look at what happened to Broja who was supposed to be the next big thing and he has died a death.

I think £30m is good signing for Chelsea and in Nicolas Jackson he hasn't got much competition to oust to be starting in the champions league.

If he can bag at Ipswich he should get 10-15 comfortably at Chelsea

Was hoping we would go for him. As said he is not guaranteed a start at Chelsea.

Decent goal return for a poor Ipswich side. Only 22 and home grown.

30m. Similar to what we paid for Fullkrug.

Edgy? Bloody hell, you are such a wafty minge.

I didn't miss the point, it was exactly fucking hard to work out, you plank.
You clearly did. And you're the one getting all hormonal about it with primary school level insults.

Regardless of your opinion on Cunha which is irrelevant to this- although more than a goal every three games for a team like Wolves isn't exactly dogshit- they who are in a similar shitty position to us with their squad identified their target and went after them at the earliest opportunity, and stopped playing silly buggers when the selling club called them out on it. The opposite of Sullivan's usual doing fuck all in the market while other players get hoovered up waiting until the last minute for 4th choice players and fucking about trying to penny pinch or get one over on the selling team. Not hard to grasp.
Oh shut up you tart, you're the biggest fanny on here. In fairness, I'm unsure if you're a bird or not.

If Cunha is so great, where's the list of clubs willing to meet the buyout clause? Man Utd should be aiming for better, they're signing yet another middle of the road player for massive dough.

Your 'point' about Sullivan has been done a million times on here, well done.
This isn't an argument about Cunha's abilities you fucking spastic. Don't start crying about it now you've realised. As for being a fanny, you're the one who got in a girly flap about what someone else posted in the first place.

Claret and Booze interviewed one of these 'player finders/agents' tonight.

An hour is a bit of a shlep through, but interesting to hear about some of the players that have been offered into West Ham over the years that we've turned our noses up at.

There's a buy-out clause that Wolves don't want exercised. MU had no choice at all. Nothing to praise them for and nothing to use as a weapon to slag off Sullivan with.
They wanted to split it over 5 years. Wolves told them to fuck off and do it over two. They quickly agreed.
Unlike our glorious leader who has and will grind prospective transfers into the dust or let them break down entirely over silly financial insistences or demands
Yes. You still don't get it do you? Wolves didn't want to sell. Either MU met the terms of the buy-out clause in full or the deal didn't happen. MU caved in immediately. There is literally nothing to congratulate them for there.
Perfectly well thanks. Man U wanted to split the 62 mill over 5 years due to their financial situation which is very unusual and absolutely the sort of thing Sullivan would try and pull, and chanced their arm to offer it initially nothing ventured nothing gained. Wolves wanted it over 2 as standard and just stood firm. Rather than trying to fuck them about more, Man U fronted up and agreed to pay the release clause over the usual timeframe in order to make sure they get their man. It's hardly caving to anything is it, to buy a player for their release clause in the usual manner rather than fishing for a favour.. It's just realising there's a time and a place to play silly buggers, and this was not it seen as they felt the player was important to them. Something Sullivan often fails to grasp with his barrow boy negotiation tactics and a disagreement over the terms of a player goes on and on until the selling team tells us to go fuck ourselves or someone else buys them instead. All Man U did was not gain an advantage over a usual transfer deal. They've hardly had their pants pulled down by Wolves over anything and everyone is happy.
