I was reading yesterday that it’s a turf war between Scottish gangs influenced by the Kinahan Cartel in Ireland, and they’re threatening a war because of the deaths of the two Scots.

So far nothing of value has been lost.

Spent a lot of time in that region as my Mum lived there for over 15 years. Shame how it all turned out, when she first went there she lived in a very quaint, typically Spanish town. When she left in 2015, it was a job to hear a Spanish voice, it had become a miniature Britain and it had lost all its identity. Keep saying I'll go back for a weekend just to see what's become of my Mum's old gaff, not sure I will now though.

only went to that part of spain once, didn't particularly like it but did go in places like the navy bar and sinatras. in the latter, I had a chat with the bird off brookside (clare sweeney) and also spotted ray clemence having a drink with a couple of weirdos (no idea if it was mabbutt ferret and ladyboy)

That Sinatra's is tiny but a proper hangout for footballers minor celebs and wannabes.

I remember seeing Roy Evans stood with John Gregory on one side of the bar and This Bramble and Kevin Davies on the other side.

The second row behind it with Linekers bar and the like was a bit iffy late at night with all the prostitute's and pimps trying to accost the pissed up and unsuspecting tourist.

that Navy bar was like that, all down the far wall were a line of prostitutes (in the bar), and the cunts serving the drinks in there asking for stupid amounts of money for a round and also not handing over the change. worst place I've been in, clearly run by gangsters of some sort as there wasn't an old bill to be seen

Used to be a good few down there, think most head to Dubai now where these is no extradition orders in place.
Yea I read in the report linked to this that a 'top lad' has moved to Dubai.

I think Simon Jordan spends a lot of time there and has a gaff. Doesn't Sullivan go every year?

I still really like the Costa, great place imo. Use to go every year as a kid, Nerja way.
I remember seeing Jordan out there in Sinatra's around the time he had the falling out with Dowie.
.
I could resist winding him up.

I had met him previously when I worked for a mobile phone distributor and he was just starting out.

He used to ring me up asking where his Nokia 3210s were

Ironically the young salesman Gareth who used to sell them to him was also a big palace fan who ended up starting his own mobile accessories business which made him a fortune and then became one of the shirt sponsors after Jordan had done his bollocks.

We used to have a lads break every year to Banus and stay in a decent complex called the Vasari resort just outside.

I used to prefer Marbella old town myself where you could actually get a decent bit of tapas and freshly caught fish at Pepes beach bar and restaurant

There was a boat that run three from Babus and it was great fun getting drenched on deck whilst the captain tried to hit every wave he could as the other passengers looked on from inside having heeded the warnings.

I prefer Tenerife these days as tend to get better value and I quite like the quieter and less commercial north of the island.

Wesley Clarkson had wrote some decent books on the costa del crime.and the timeshare villainy in Tenerife

Yes, not read anything from Clarkson but know of him, he's wrote stuff on 'goldfinger' Palmer and Kenny Noye, etc. Half surprised he hasn't come unstuck himself.

Was last down that way in 2016 during the Euro's, always enjoy it, but wouldn't want to live there among all them expats with the deep tans and medallions etc, pretending they're half Spanish lol.
I recall being taken to one place near Elviria which was a newly built British urbanisation

All day breakfasts union jacks and John Smiths with Only fools and horses playing on a loop in The Queen Victoria.

I couldn't resist asking if they could do me a nice bit of Tapas and which way was the Bull fight.

Sollys diner in Puerto Banus was one moody place with a history we chanced upon once.

A couple of days later there was a hit outside on a Scouser

One of my mates local bars in Elvira also had an assassination.

Funny enough Stuart Slater had an apartment in the same complex.

I haven't been to Banus or the Costas for a good few years now but the last time it had gone downhill.

Banus full of footballers prostitute's hen and stag parties and wannabe gangsterrs.

I think even Pardew gives it a swerve these days.
