WHO's Sewer *BETA*

Post stubbo-admin »

Number one complaint seems to remain the bickering...so this thread is to try and do what we did with the politics thread (contain it all in one place).

Any bickering that lacks context to the post topic will just be dumped in this thread....no cohesion, no sequence....just dumped and listed in the order they occurred from wherever they occured.

We can do our best to keep on top of it...but just report it if we miss it and we'll flush it into the sewers.

We could do with some support on this so those who are fed up with this please stick your hands up to perform this mod action (send me a WhoMail)....common culprits will of course not be considered.

I think that's temporarily stopped anyway. They're on to 3rd world shitholes now.
There are two separate things going on there.
Nutsin & me arguing is largely about politics and is on the politics thread.

The other stuff is joyo chasing 1 or 2 posters around different threads and baiting them.
Or ladyboy/chutney ferret starting threads specifically designed to annoy and get attention.

There are different types of irritation though. People should be allowed to go at each other if they want but LH is right. Every time certain posters post anything regardless of thread the same insults and back and forward comes out and it’s unreadable. That stuff can be put in its own corner when it starts and meaningful discussion can carry on before it just gets lost as it tends to. It’s dull having to scroll through two pages of the same accusations and insults on basically every thread when they have absolutely fuck all to do with the thread in order to actually read anything that’s on topic.

As for obvious trolls. Just bin them into the sewer and they can troll exclusively in there.

I agree it's tedious, which is why I skip over it as soon as I see where it's going. But there is potentially a baby/bathwater danger here. Also, I would ask, are we saying that we should be guaranteed a life free of irritation and a WHO-using experience free of irritation? I hate the smell of cigarette smoke.  The noise of motorbikes and modified car exhausts fill me with a rage that frightens me at times. Ditto people screaming into their mobile phones in dozens of different ugly languages while I'm on the bus/tube. Irritation is part of life because humans are all c###s in one way or another.

It's difficult to ignore it when it's everywhere,  all the time.

Yeah,  I wouldn't want to ban anyone for having an unsavoury opinion, but certain folk should have their repetitive shite deleted.

It's particularly annoying on a thread subject I might be interested in reading about, and it ends up with the same 3 cunts talking about Cambodia.

I should have added, even though WHO is a tiny and inconsequential corner of the Internet, I think 'free speech' still matters. It worries me that attitudes like 'Censor/delete this comment', 'We can't listen to ideas we don't like' and 'Ban this person from this platform' are now normalised across media. We are mostly Boomers and X-ers on here. We used to be better than that. Fuck 2025.

I agree, Len, but it's a bit like supermarket shopping: I just walk past the stuff I don't want. I glance at it and move past. It barely registers.

Nurse;

Agreed,  but it does get tedious when every thread gets usurped and becomes the exact same conversation/argument.

Lavender card for first instance, Rainbow card for 2nd instance then, if it continues use the existing Yellow & Red card options.

Pink card with glittery sparkles for calling for someone to be carded.
Just ban the sex offenders (joyo), closet spuds (madferet) and brain dead woke leftist shitcunts. Problem solved.

It's only pixels on a screen. Words said by anonymous complete non-entities (that really is all we are). None of it merits censorship or the banning of posters. We are adults and can cope with opposing views and name-calling. Seriously, we can cope with this.

Yeah, fair point, we'll just banish the sex offenders (joyo) then.

Actually there is another message board I’m on that has a dedicated section called ‘rants’ where anything goes and all sorts of cunting off is allowed. The rules are to play (fairly) nice on the main forum (it is somewhat more moderated than here to make sure that’s adhered to though. You can still give it some but there is a line) and if you choose to go into rants then there’s basically no moderation- obvs nothing illegal going on but just open season for calling others out. It works pretty well but as I said it does require the mods being active to place things that have to go in there in there, and ban/remind when people don’t stick to the rules.

What would be good is to just relegate posters to being only allowed to post in the sewer (make it a sub forum rather than one thread where people can start threads) temporarily or permanently if they constantly piss people off on the main forums and/or troll. Mad Ferret, for example,  and the like and any other alts that that poster sets up.

Couldn't you just call it the Goose & Nutsin with a sprinkle of Joyo thread?
