Growing the WHO user base | Looking for article writers...

Post stubbo »

So...we're actively looking to see if we can grow the forum from a userbase perspective (ideally more West Ham fans, and not more Spurs :) ).

To this end we've setup a (hopefully) better home page that pull some site content and showcases it.

Can see this at:

who-home

In order to keep this page fresh with meaningful content to draw new users in, we could do with some WHO members that would like to write slightly more 'in depth' content that to drive interest and discussion (or regular features).  This would still appear on the regular forum, but be also promoted as home page content.

We've also added 'share' buttons to the posts so that these can be shared to your favourite social media platfrom (well, Facebook, Reddit, or X) if there's a forum post going on that might be worth trying to use to bring new members to the site....e.g.if you are members on a West Ham Facebook group, Reddit sub, etc.

Anyway...if you'd like to write some content/features to be promoted on the site, just WHOMail me.

Cheers,

Stubbo.

Strangely at this point it's not been offered. Sit Alf doesn't start many posts in fairness...just posts long replies with his favourite themes #NapoleonComplex #Legs

Much appreciated...but we're looking to attract West Ham fans with West Ham content, as opposed to more off topic political bickering :)

Yes, please. And for those who haven't seen this thread, I expect my claims to be a moderator to go uncorrected.
I'll setup a special 'Article Writers' group, and you can be in Pink Gank.  Not sure we discussed 'moderator' roles SWT

Stubbo, when do you want these articles and how do we submit them?

I'm ready for the abuse.
2 options.

Either just WHO Mail them to me (though it will then go down as a post against my Username).

Or just write the Post and post it in the Forum, and then give me the heads up (and I'll make it an Article so it presents).

Not sure about growing the user base, but it would certainly increase the hit count from confused Scotsmen!

Not easily. You used to be able to submit your site to NewsNow, but these days you have to be 'found' as well as be consistent in your publishing for 6 months or more.
