Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

Yep, you just know Kudus will go to the next level with Spurs, especially with them in the CL.

Honestly wouldn’t surprise me seeing them lift another trophy next season.

Agreed.  You just know he'll go on to be far better than what they'll pay for him also.

West Ham bringing in Linus Kandolin – Confidence Swede on way to Hammers

West Ham United are set to bring IF Elfsborg goalkeeping coach Linus Kandolin to the club.

Sweden’s Fotbollskanalen report on the move and their title states: ‘West Ham buy Kandolin from Elfsborg’

The 34-year-old spent four years at Östersunds FK before leaving them to join Elfsborg in January 2019 as their goalkeeping coach. He’s maintained that role for more than six years and is now set to join West Ham.

Last September, the Swede extended his contract until the end of 2027. Therefore, the Hammers are now paying a fee to Elfsborg to secure his services, and the report makes no mention of any figures.

Kandolin played a key role in developing Hákon Valdimarsson, who was sold to Brentford for SEK 40m [€3.6m] in January 2024. With that transfer he became the most expensive goalkeeper to be sold from the Swedish league.

Alphonse Areola, Wes Foderingham and Łukasz Fabiański were the three goalkeepers at the Premier League club last season. West Ham have released Fabiański and it’s unclear whether they’ll sign a replacement.

Last season, the trio trained under Xavi Valero, who has been West Ham’s goalkeeping coach since 2018. His contract expires later today and Kandolin is set to replace him to be part of Graham Potter’s backroom staff.

I agree with your sentiments Sir Alf. I also think the £90m is smoke and mirrors just the same as all the signings we are being linked to. We will have sold someone by the time Potter gets a couple of players in and runs a small squad so that profits return...

A lack of season ticket sales might be the only thing that gets something moving as I hear they are not going well.

Things progressing as expected by most of us. My opinion ( not worth much admittedly 🤭) was that nothing much would happen until August ( player actually holding shirt on OS).

The talk of 90 million being put in is, based on GSB history, a loan of some sort imo to overcome the cash flow shortage which is really what they mean. It will be paid back with interest to Sullivan, Kretinsky etc in future accounts and spread to ensure its not easy to see.

There is no PSR issue. That was the first attempt at deception that got rumbled by media analysts like Kieran Maguire and The Athletic and then fans.

Equally though, sites like C&H are in full “wind up” mode as Imo they aint got a clue on Potter and Maguire’s priority targets. They are relentlessly putting out articles about other clubs getting ahead and grabbing our targets like this Diarra geezer that Sunderland just signed. He might well have been on our list but the articles ate click bait, nothing more, nothing less.

We need to get thru July and then get our dungarees or knickers on ready for the proper panic in August.

It might be a good thing if we sign an unknown from Europe etc like Brighton do. Although knowing us it will be a bunch of duds.

Nothing has changed as it stands. We remain as a primary candidate for relegation next season.

There may well be some desperate measures in the next few days by any club about to close their accounts who have a potential breach e.g  Villa
Agreed it’s a 3 yr rolling view, but anyone on the limit for the year just closed will hold off until 1st July to book any incoming transfer.

90 mill cash injection from the owner normally is a good sign wasn't it from Sullivan.
Bet he wants 10% interest in that one..

Officially saying we are skint, you bet other clubs wants to come saving him. No of course not, that's why low ball (karma) bids are coming in towards Aguetd, Kudus or any other player he tries to offload.

This is not binding well. I'm not optimistic. Fuck Sullivan!

*Sticks head in thread for weekly peruse!

Still nothing concrete really. Still reckon we need and wait until early August before we buy anyone of first 11 calibre as 1, We will be hoping low ball offers may be considered by then, 2, The big clubs will hopefully be more or less done and we can feed on the scraps they left or pick up those they are willing to offload or are unwanted by them.

Not much to look forward to right now, happy to be proved wrong😊

Seems we looked in January but they were trying to qualify for Europe
Nice want £25m
If it's just 25 mill, I'd be all over that.

Just saw him in an international friendly (chippy game to be fair) and there is a Canadian in Nice's backline, so I have watched a number of their games last season.

Somewhat Antonio unpolished but pace and power and amazing feet, and can play across the front.

Biased but I would take Moise Bombito as well.  Scary pace and a late bloomer at centre back.
