Mind you they still beat ushis first game wasn't it? maybe have to put that down to Leicester players trying to impress the new gaffer before he had a chance to butcher things.............................
Not sure that he "butchered" things. They were already shit. There's a reason why the job was available and a reason why they were favourites to be relegated at the start of the season. Also, he had W3 D1 of his 4 games in charge at Man Utd just before they hired him. It's not like they hired him after he'd just relegated a team. But then, what kind of club would do that?

Fucked up a shit load of expected/anticipated advertising revenue, that did - most of it probably already spent.
I'm not sure it's got anything to do with them winning the Premier league. Just mismanagement coming home to roost, and getting their comeuppance after trying to skirt the rules in calculated fashion last time they were in the Championship. Sure, they are easier to punish than Man City or Chelsea but it sounds like a slam dunk of their own making.

Understood King Power suffered because of Covid as it was in the duty free business & no one was travelling
The son who took over after the helicopter crash didn’t have the smarts of his father
Every small club is a few bad buys from plummeting
They escaped punishment when they went between divisions last time. Will get it this time around

Wasn't it to do with their financial situation? It wasn't possible or was a lot less advantageous financially to fire him before a certain date?

No doubt Sullivan's already done the sums and low balled in an offer.
