Looking for a great steak at a resonable price and a posh location? (The partner can do the High Street)
FLAT IRON Kensington Steak Restaurant - London Steakhouse
When booking mention you were referred by The Swiss.
I like your thinking. In fact I am sure that some posters will have some excellent ideas for what some other posters may choose to advertise.

That's why I referred to them as 'paying punters', they are through the door and consuming content. There is a surpassingly high number of these users. The regular posters are making up a fraction of the unique users and page views. That's even worse! I suppose some might be listening to the jukebox from the car park then?

just invent your own site ITK, he can post some vague stuff that is right some of the time and we can all defend him on here. moderate the site so nobody can question him.
people love that shit and will come looking for it.

wils wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025, 13:02Well, it can look that way. But from looking at the stats I have another analogy. There are closer to a 100 unique posters on a typical day, occasionally more, some quiet days a a bit less. But there are a lot more quiet users who have accounts and log in to read what is being posted but for various reasons won't post themselves. They far outweigh the regular posters.
So I would say we are more like zoo. Us posters are the animals scratching their bollocks as a steady stream of paying punters gawp at us and point then leave to go back home to their civilised ordered lives.
Or to continue the pub analogy, a small handful of the punters that arrive actually come into the pub, far more take a quick look in through the windows, decide (correctly) that it isn't for them, and head off to find somewhere nice to go for a drink?

Re: This place is DEAD these days
I think all of these sites, fan channels, podcasts etc feed off what is happening with West Ham, which is zilch at the moment.
Kumb, in the brown stuff are also deadsville right now. Your man on hammers chat has had a breakdown as there's nothing for him to talk about.
The same 5/6 people arguing among themselves all the time doesn't help either

HIA.
A lot of people focus on podcasts as well which can take upna big chunk of time. I get through at least 4 a day at work. Throw in finding time to read a book, listen to music, socialise or watch tv/film and you can see why forum traffic slows down.

Lee Trundle" wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025, 09:47 My type of pub then, Bungo.
Much better than the metropolitan wanky bar type places where you have to queue to pay £8 a pint (for some shit like Brewdog) and then have to pay to wash your hands after you've taken a piss.
Can't imagine you washing your hands after taking a piss let alone having to pay for it
