May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

It's all very well blaming the likes of Alvarez and Kudus for playing below their best and wanting to move and blaming the owners for not digging into their pockets to spend more dough, but what about the manager's responsibility here? If his man management skills are so bad and his tactical acumen so poor that the players are unhappy and perform well under par then most signings we make will drop in value. It's just not sustainable. And it's not like we're talking about only two players here. This is the case for most of the team. We're probably lucky that Alvarez and Kudus do want to be sold, given how hard we seem to find it to shift players on.

They should be professional enough and have enough respect for us fans to give it their all every time they are on the pitch, no matter if they aren't thrilled with what consecutive managers each with very different ideas were asking of them. I think it's a lot more with these two that they can't be arsed if they aren't playing in Europe, and see the club as beneath them and their talents. Bowen could do the same but still plays his heart out every game. It's the least we should expect from all of them. 

As for the other players, most of them just weren't/aren't plain good enough- which is the root cause on the football side of the club as to why we find ourselves here, although most of them ironically were probably trying multitudes harder. Yes it's frustrating if you're one of the ones that are actually any good, but then you step up. You lead by example. You do everything you can rather than have a tantrum and seek to move. Yes Sullivan and to a lesser extent Moyes, Lop and Stiedten owed them better teammates, but they owe us as well.

Nah, the owners of Fenerbace are far wealthier than Sullivan and probably on a par with Kretinsky.

They are part of Koc Holdings - A gigantic Turkish multi-national corporation with their fingers in the pies of anything that truly makes money  

They come from old riche as well so there is no doubt some Genghis Khan lineage bullshit story there whether it's true or not.

Ali Koc - the Fenerbace chairman is worth £8 Billion alone never mind all the other members of the family.

If you've ever bought a Beko, Grundig or Indesit then you have given them some of your hard earned too.

Alvarez is another along with Kudus who I think has just checked out and is agitating for a move. Big shame as he is definitely a better player then we've seen this season as well. And yes it is galling that like Kudus we probably end up selling him for less than we should be getting, in order to witness him then actually play to the best of his ability elsewhere. 

All things considered it's shit to be having to sell your best players as they are the only ones with ANY market value while all the others are so bad you can't give them away for free, but between the players themselves and Sullivan, there's not really any choice. The only thing that's going to weaken their hand is Sullivan putting his hand in his pocket to bring some players in and act like we don't need to sell them. Shame then that he already idiotically told the world we were desperate and had to sell them as if he's asking the players and any suitors to bend the club over and dry fuck us on the way out.

Don't forget that tourists bring in more money per person each home game than old skool...well at least until we drop out of the PL next season, but, hey! When has Sullivan and the board ever planned that far ahead into the future?

For sure we may regret selling both, but I suspect it has reached the point with both that if we hold on to them we will regret it more. Last season it was pretty obvious with no prospect of Europe their enthusiasm was awol. Irrespective of whose fault that was neither of these players now want to be at West Ham. Getting the best  price for them is the only realistic option

We'd never have been able to afford Duran's salary anyway. Don't know what Fenerbache are playing at but they're apparently offering big wages to people these days: over £200k per week for the likes of Jadon Sancho and Leroy Sane.

In any case, we'll see if he's as good as I think he is when we see how he performs at his next club, which hopefully won't be Spurs or Chelsea or one of the other clubs playing in the Champions League, who weirdly think he's good enough for them.

It's not a slightly different position though, is it? Switching sides is fine for some players, not for others. AWB can play LB, Coufal couldn't. Depends massively on their style of play. All this shit about how much they earn is irrelevant. I don't give a toss about him being "uppity". If he's playing shit because of the position he's played in then a big happy smile on his face won't change a fucking thing anyway.

 

 

Not to do this to death, as we’re not going to agree, but I’m not asking him to be thrilled and smiley. I’m asking to be a professional and do the best he can rather than play like a cսnt because he’s having a tantrum. There is no reason he shouldn’t be able to do a job on the left, save for the fact he’s got a massive chip on his shoulder. If he genuinely can’t, there is not a chance he’s as good as you seem to think he is. 

I think the reality this season is he got sussed out. Capable of the brilliant at times clearly, but he’s pretty predictable otherwise. 

As for his behaviour around the Spurs flirting, that should tell you all you need to know about his character.
