WHY is Potter going to succeed this season?
Right, I’ve had my meltdown.. I’m good now.
I’m going to try to be positive like this last 6 months was a bad dream.
Is Potter doing an Arteta?
Trying to create a squad of “school kids” that actually listen to him?
Is this the only way he knows how to get things to work?
I understand the logical reasons for selling Kudus i.e.
he plays best in Bowens position and Summerville is better on the left, and he’s not really a playmaker so he’s sort of a talented misfit. I get it. And I get why he would want to get rid of Alvarez, or Emerson etc.
But it’s hard to have faith when Potters actual coaching skills and decision making ability under pressure seem so poor! And have been terrible for the last 6 months with very little improvement. It’s relatively easy to reduce the goal deficit if you remove your attacking threat, thats all he seems to have done.
So can someone explain what this Potter imagined team is about philosophically? Is there actually a style and system that makes sense in this league? I’m trying to be optimistic. Basically, why is Potter going to succeed next season?

Does make me laugh. Moyes hounded out for being too direct.
Potter being hounded out for being too passive/powderpuff.
Someone will get the balance right one day.

The last 6 months have been terrible under Potter and unfortunately dont see that changing.
i image that Potter is currently dressed as a Jester dancing around for Sullivan and Bradys amusement.

I think a few seasons or more in the lower leagues will be fun. We’ll certainly only be followed by real West Ham too.I'm starting to think more like that. The whole club is broken and needs a hard reset.
The club is rotten to the core. The leaks to the media by Sullivan about how players were handing in requests, refusing to come back to the club (in the case of Kudus and Aguard) is utterly fucking disgusting. Sadly people are turning on the players because of this nonsense, when in reality none of the stories are true. If they were, Kudus and Aguerd wouldn't have come back to training.
Complete and utter chaos, the sooner we get them out the better.

Real West Ham? That would leave about a dozen posters on here.

Success is relative.
Success for us is not being relegated.
