Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

What a moronic thing to say. If you blame this move on Kudus, and not Sullivan, then you have no working brain cells (in other word, you are a yid...)

Are we ignoring that this cսnt made a beeline for Spurs and in his cringey signing VT started it with “I only wanted Spurs”?

Sullivan is a prick, too, sure, but stop giving this wanker a free ride.

Shit attitude last season at being asked to play on the left, and then makes clear he wants to sign for Spurs this summer. We used to treat these type of characters properly in previous decades.
You're on a wind up right, every player who joins every club says shit like that when they join. We wanted to sell him he wasn't wanted and only one club came in for him. Was he supposed to say "nope I'll stay where I'm not wanted at a shit show of a club and turn down extra money and champions league" then say "I only came here because you were my only option"

The ‘we tried’ excuse needs to be swapped for the truth this season, which is ‘I was too busy counting my money’

The disappointment is not that we sold Kudus, it's that we know what is coming next.

Not very much.

Last season was abysmal and if you didn’t think it was possible this season is shaping up as worse.
Think many have said the teams coming up are probably better than the dross that came up & went down in a heart beat
Struggling to think of one positive going into the new season
If you can’t have some at least blind optimism now it’s profoundly depressing
A poor start will see Potter sacked obviously
Thanks Sullivan!

You’ve gotta applaud Sullivan for sacking off Steidten so he can once again take over on transfers and then spouting off for absolutely ages about having to sell to buy and then when you do finally sell, you don’t have a single deal lined up

Nothing new with supporters arguing and getting at each other, been like that as long as I’ve posted on WHO, which is around 25 years! FMOB😳

But would agree on being gutted, think many have had enough and can’t be arsed at times, most seasons are pretty shit for us, the odd time we do have a decent season we always seem to fuck it up the next rather than use it to step up a level or show any ambition🤷‍♂️

But I suppose for the board and owners as long as we can fill the stadium, have the TV money roll in and retain PL status that seems to be job done, never mind the fans wanting better.

Never have I felt so unenthusiastic about an upcoming season, would love to be wrong and we somehow have a blinder but I think that’s just for my dreams😞
Have we ever had a season in recent memory where expectations were rock bottom and we had a blinder (relatively) because I can't think of any? I'm really clutching to a ray of hope here because it's happened plenty of times the other way round.

We desperately wanted to sell him, Sullivan wanted the money and Potter just likes wingbacks. This is just Sullivan being a cսnt.

Trust feet to be too thick to see what's going on.

We had to sell otherwise our PSR would have fallen off a cliff next season and we'll probably need to buy players in January for a new manager.

This is just the prelude for a really toxic season, I reckon.

Hopefully it's too much for the toad in charge.

The embarrassment is that it wasn't 55 million pounds, it wasn't even 55 million euros.

It was close to 55 million dollars for those who can do the math.

Time for Sullivan to go.

Nutsin wrote: 10 Jul 2025, 22:10 No European means we have little to no chance competing with any club that can offer it, even the wanky Spurs.
Coupled with the fact we have little money available we’re gonna be competing with the likes of Leeds and Wolves for signatures.

What a mess, let’s hope there’s some real prem talent available in the lower leagues, otherwise we are in for another long, miserable season.

Kudus is worth more than $55 mill to us right now. Shocking decision to sell.

We haven’t hit rock bottom yet I fear.

Nutsin, you are an utter helmet, but I agree with you on this. If we're looking to sell players with value to fund "young, energetic players" then why have we just sold the only player who is both energetic and young? If it was for silly money then yep, it works as we could have bought two players, but it wasn't, it was for basically nothing with this bank loan nonsense now being touted, so as a player just as you said, he's worth in excess of £80million to us, otherwise we should have kept him as both a player and as a financially growing asset. Even if that meant selling the older Bowen to fund these mystery energetic youngsters, none of whom we seem to be after.

Oh you do. They're called Brady and Sullivan who run the joint like they still run Birmimgham City in the 90s.
