When he came to West Ham I was only 13 and so it was around the time that I started to go a bit more regularly (just due to my mum worrying about me going football). I was obviously aware of how good he was from his Arsenal days. When he came to us, physically he was almost at the end, but god could you see what a player he was. I remember some games just watching him and nobody else. His touch and general ball control was mesmerising. And, like most top players, always seemed to have about 10 seconds on the ball longer than everyone else. Great vision and saw the game differently to rest of players. Just a class player."
