Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Hopefully this transfer is the start of the end for Sullivan and his lover Salthouse.

Think positive.

The problem with Wilson is that it's a lose-lose signing for us.

If he stays fit and scores goals and we finish top half of the table as a result, then fair play to him and good for us next season.  But on the flip-side Sullivan will think that it justifies his decision.  In which case he'll just continue to undermine whatever manager is working for him because he's the transfer guru and soon enough we're back to square one with an ageing, unfit, unsuitable squad of misfits once again.

If he get's injured or for whatever reason it doesn't work out, Sullivan will not consider it a failure of his own doing.  It will be blamed on the manager or the player and as a result it fucks up West Ham, messes with the managers transfer plans, and makes it even harder for us to achieve any kind of success.

What's the latest? I'm still hoping he would fail a Medical anyway, although that is clutching at straws knowing we'd even clinically pass Ozzy OsboUrne fit to play.

West Ham United are making a push for Nelson Deossa. They've reportedly put an offer of €13.5 million on the table for the Colombian.

On Wilson - Well, what can you say, it has gone quiet now and that may be down to social media uproar.... Who knows? But if any potential transfer summed it Sullivan this is it. Driven by a bargain and a risk rather than a sensible and sustainable policy that benefits the club.

Callum Wilson said yesterday that at 33 he still has loads to offer and he feels fit and focussed and ready to play. That may be so. But history tells a different story. Why should West Ham be used as an experimental platform for a player to prove himself? And that's how Sullivan see's West Ham. A club with no respect and dignity.

Yes, Sullivan's only kryptonite is being made to look stupid in public. That's all he cares about. More than the football club immeasurably. So maybe hopefully some of the backlash over this has had an effect.

Didn't JWP change shirt numbers last season and Chicharito got the 9 before he left?

He's still up for sale at the right price surely, but nobody wants to pay it.

No Potter / Macaulay signings until we sell players I reckon? However, ok for signings being brought in by our new de facto DOF David Sullivan Junior who is shrewdly looking at the Bosman market and using a number of agents who pretend to be his friend. Good news too is that he has been mentored by the greatest negotiator, deal maker and identifier of football talent in the last 30 years, his old man.

To quote Malcolm Tucker from "The Thick of It"  with Sullivan in mind and his performative feminist sidekick...

You are a complete f***ing omni-shambles, that’s what you are. You’re not a grandee, you’re a f***ing bland-ee. No one knew what the f*** you stood for, political f***ing mist, no substance, no weight. You have all the charm of a rotting teddy bear by a graveside.”

Graham Potter does not approve of the club’s move for Callum Wilson.

The gaffer wants to bring the age of the squad down and create a 'happy family' environment.

Wilson is viewed as someone who ticks neither box. It is Will Salthouse who is pushing for this deal..
Salthouse and Dave Sullivan Jnr apparently
