We've only ever had the illusion (the dream) of being free. More people are coming around to that reality.

How many people are in possession of (parts of) your personal data?

If this site ever gets closed down by the authorities, it won't be because of the swearing, bickering or anything "ist" posted up; it will be closed down because one or more threads run too counter to the social narrative the government want/need to portray.
