Re: Ireland 🇮🇪
My mum n dads hire car getting smashed up in a small village as it had British Plates. They’d hired a DeLorean. Alright only half of that is true.
Re: Ireland 🇮🇪
GrumpsterKillarney on the other hand where I went to a wedding was quality, friendly people who were more than happy with us spending dough in their pubs.
Kerry people are very laid back and friendly, they also have a nose for money and if a big gang of english golfers or anglers walk into the bar, they and their wallets would be more than welcome
Its mainly country/rural people that went to england looking for work years ago, so they are a bit more discerning about the english.
Dublin, forget it. I dont know why anyone goes there for stags etc

Hated Dublin, went for a stag do and as an older lot who like a drink but aren't your typical loutish brits abroad, was fucking annoying constantly having to move pubs after getting told 'sorry, we can't let you back in (after a smoke), you're too drunk".
That was when sober after about 2 pints!!! Dublin cunts unable to hide their hatred for the english.

Re: Ireland 🇮🇪
Nice as pie to your face pre-pint.
Agressive as fuck (especially towards the English) after they've sunk a few.
Also tight as fuck.
Visit LANZA a couple of times each year, and without fail they clear the change tray of all notes, leaving a couple of euros (if that) as a tip.
Have also witnessed them rock up at restaurants mob handed, DEMANDING free drinks 'for the girls'.
Despite being quarter Irish, it's fucking embarrasing.

I'm in Rosslare at the moment.
Quite nice round here.
As long as I'm outside Dublin I'm content.
Dublin is SHOITE.

Tayto crisps (I prefer Walkers)
Guinness (finest alcoholic drink on the planet)
Good links between Dublin and Belfast and first class travel is cheap
Friendly folk
Great traditions
They should be our best mates, really, but the 800 years things still gets them, despite being a largely Scottish venture.
Oh and I prefer Northern Ireland, personally.

A surprisingly large number of COLOURED FOLK everywhere, not just in Dublin.
The locals are not happy about it.
It's a new-ish thing here i suppose.
Everything is FUCKING EXPENSIVE here as well.Careful. You can't criticise them under Starmer's new nazi rules.
Don't be so daft and paranoid, Trundle. You and I both know it's there "only so 12 year olds don't access porn or suicide tips"...

I've been here on and off for about 15 years now, yes everything is expensive mainly because of the cost of fuel, wages and rents. I think food is slightly cheaper than England but the cost of living is on the up like most places in Europe. Dentist, doctor, running a car, very expensive.
I'm lucky to live in a beautiful place but a massive surge in tourism has made housing extremely scarce and expensive. Most young people are fucking off to Canada and Australia.
We've been largely unaffected by "new to the parish" types, but some villages are completely overrun imo. I never go to Dublin it's a shit hole. Best city is Galway, Westport parts of Cork are nice.
Weather is shit. I miss the English summers
I'm happy out here and have no plans to return, it's quiet and peaceful.
