West Ham Vs Everton | Friendly | 30.7.25 23:30 | Match Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

Well another game tonight in the Septic Cup. Next on the menu....Davie Moyes.

They got stuffed by the Cherries at the weekend, so hopefully we can give them a good shellacking.

Fingers crossed for the breakup of the triangle of turgid shit, and an injection of youthful exuberance.

Prediction: 2-1 to us.

COYI.

I've said this before but I'll say it again. I'd rather have a chicken pecking at a list of players names to select the team than this Potter clown. Cheaper too.

Exactly. What use is this lineup? The time to fucking 'learn' about his players probably ought to have happened in the previous seven or eight months the cսnt has been here. I swear Potter and his little friend are spoiling for the sack as soon as possible.

What is the point of travelling thousands of miles to play a game and then put out a team that seems to have been picked by an epileptic mid fit?

Jesus fucking wept, look at the state of the side he's putting out tonight. I dont think getting a drubbing from our former manager in charge of one of the teams as shit as us is what the doctor ordered.

I think I can confidently state that I can’t be arsed to wait up ‘til midnight to watch this battle of two relegation candidates.
I find it really depressing that in over 60 years of supporting WHU  I’ve never approached a new season with such dread.

I seem to remember there were plans to play a gameweek (I hate that expression) of the premier league, overseas at some point. I think it was all scuppered because of COVID. So maybe they're seeing how receptive the American public are to a bit of football before they go ahead and piss everyone off. So maybe the premier league are paying?

I'm sure it's being paid from ticket sales, hospitality, and tv deals. that's why copa america was in the states last year and the club world cup this year, and world cup next year. All of the stadiums built in the last 15 years or so have lots of corporate suites with loads of amenities. The states also allow things like "dynamic pricing" where they will up the ticket price based on specific demand. It's why you pay so much more for events over here. For the game on Sunday, it is over 100 quid for a supporters section ticket to a pre-season match. I imagine the suites start at 3k.
