West Ham Vs Everton | Friendly | 30.7.25 23:30 | Match Thread
Well another game tonight in the Septic Cup. Next on the menu....Davie Moyes.
They got stuffed by the Cherries at the weekend, so hopefully we can give them a good shellacking.
Fingers crossed for the breakup of the triangle of turgid shit, and an injection of youthful exuberance.
Prediction: 2-1 to us.
COYI.

Some clueless Scouse div screaming at the top of his lungs in a meaningless Pre-season game in States "You're fucking shite Bowen!"

Guilherme is looking sharp, so is Fullkrug.
If only we could add something else than Mavropanos, Rodriguez and Soucek, this could be good

Good finish. We could and maybe should get a couple more here.

Good goal from the now quite svelte looking German. Clattered an Everton midfielder got the ball back and slotted from the edge if the box. Good finish.

So what did we learn from this half?
Foderingham, Casey, Potts and Marshall are not good enough yet, but need game time. So this is what they need.
Will be interesting to if forwards will help

Totally different positions but they both look in control, calm and do everything with purpose. Happy to play off either foot as well, no fucking about and slowing our game down unnecessarily. Definitely been schooled in to doing the right things and can execute it. Sure someone could be hyper critical of Marshall in the 1st minute but he hit the target and made the Keeper save it. What I do like is his first thought and instinct to get his shot away. Defoe-like in his approach.
Very promising signs of thosof two who don't liok out of place against Premier League opposition this Pre-season.
Defoe is a good comparison. He certainly looks better than Sears and we all had high hopes for him.

I’ve seen better football played at West Ham memorial.
Both teams are dire.
Our back 3 are a train wreck. Marshall looks lively the rest ain’t worth a wank.
God help us!

I think we’re wasting opportunities in this tournament
if we’re gonna play against premier league opposition and give some of the kids a chance, it would make far more sense to play them alongside the actual first team players that we have to get a fair assessment on them,
Potter seems to be using these friendlies to get the worst players we’ve got match fit, e.g. his pet slug Ward-Prowse

There's a little a bit of Craig Bellamy about Marshall.
Re: West Ham Vs Everton | Friendly | 30.7.25 23:30 | Match Thread
Agree, like the look of potts
Marshall putting himself about with no supply.
Casey having a tough time but if you accept hes working in the middle of mavrapanos and kilman... kilman pisses me off more and more every time i see him

We look the better side. Stating the bloody obvious, we badly need a keeper that can catch and pass, a centre mid with legs to go with paq and Alvarez and then a striker. I don’t think things are as bad as it’s felt if we just add some real quality to gk, centre mid and a striker
