Given the well documented nature of Sullivan's management and negotiating tactics, it's not too far a stretch of the imagination that Sullivan closed this deal just  to show Antonio who's da man in these things.

Its not Wilson we should really be directing most of our frustration at but Sullivan and his family ( Dave Jnr now involved in recruitment of Wilson and KWP).  It was Sullivan that wanted and got Ings in and not at Moyes request, and it was Sullivan that ignored Noble, Steidten, others including Brady to insist on appointing Lopetegui ( using his veto power etc ), it was also Sullivan who allowed himself to have 3 picks, and gave Steidten and Lopetegui 3 transfer picks last summer. I know this is not a popular opinion, but I don’t think this signing is that bad. By the sound of it, he won’t cost that much (relatively speaking) unless he does well. He is old, he is injury prone, he’s said some things about us in the past, but he’s is/was a top quality forward.
