Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

West Ham consider move for Stoke City player – Hammers transfer on agenda

Stoke City goalkeeper Viktor Johansson is on West Ham United’s radar.

That’s according to Sportbladet, and they report West Ham are considering signing the 26-year-old.

The stopper left Rotherham United for Stoke City last summer and impressed in his debut season, keeping 15 clean sheets and conceding 64 goals from 49 games.

Graham Potter is said to be looking to improve West Ham’s goalkeeping position, and his club have Johansson on their list.

The Sweden international was earlier linked to Bournemouth and Como, likely before the Cherries signed Djordje Petrovic from Chelsea in this window.

According to the report, Stoke City have rejected all approaches for the goalkeeper so far.

The Swede’s contract expires in 2027 and Transfermarkt value him at €8m. Stoke City are likely to demand more than that if West Ham decide to seriously pursue a move for him.

On Sunday, Tuttosport reported Parma have rejected the Premier League club’s approach for Zion Suzuki. West Ham are also said to be working on a deal for Botafogo goalkeeper John Victor.
The Sullivan factor in full effect here. Slowly going down the wishlist to get someone cheaper and cheaper regardless of a probable drop off in quality which will impact the team's performance.

Started off with the lads from Leicester or Parma, a serious long term investment in the position which we did all the groundwork for, now Sullivan's eye for a bargain and his mates whispering in his ear is going to land us a two for one special with a pair of inferior goalkeepers after we 'tried' for the primary targets. You know it's going to happen, and work out worse and more expensive in the long run.

Read the post moron. Taken from SOCIAL MEDIA. Imbecile.

And I don't think Alvarez is PL level. That's my opinion. If we buy a box to box midfielder then he isn't getting into our side, so Potter doesn't rate him either. But you have your opinion, that's fine.

West Ham and Villa are exploring swap deal for Paqueta and Jacob Ramsey

That can fuck right off.
We have NO interest in Ramsey.  All the English names it seems are bollocks ( unless they're free), Morton, McAtee, Elliot, Ramsey.

Anyone else worried that if we do actually go out and buy a decent central midfielder, that Potters gonna use them to replace Potts rather than Ward-Prowse?
Potters got a hard on for the guy, and he literally offers nothing

There's simply no place in football (well PL level at least) for a DM who can't do anything with the ball.

The Makelele position is a relic.

No great loss at all.

Very average player.
Agreed. He is an excellent Championship player, but not good enough for PL.

I have actually given up on this window now. It's clear for all to see what is going on.

Two years ago could've sign Ekitike for £22m but Sulli lowballed Frankfurt. Two years on Liverpool sign him for £65m and we sign Callum Wilson on a 'play when you aren't injured deal'.

And that, my friends, kind of epitomises where Sulli has taken us as a club.

Can't see us spending big on a keeper. We never have since Phil Parkes.
Sullivan even lowballed the offer for the Brazilian keeper and bid under his release clause so it was turned down. Think it is 10m & Sullivan offered 6m.
Heard he doesn't fit Potters style too.
Are any other top flight clubs still run like this?

It was the plan until Sullivan’s chum came along with some dirt cheap Brazilian keeper so he’s unzipped and ghosted Leicester after they’ve got another keeper in and we have put everything in place to sign him. Now the scandie gk coach is ordering a Portuguese phrase book off amazon post haste to read on the plane home.

Hermansen played the whole game with 2 keepers on the bench including Begovic who they signed a few days ago.
That would suggest that the fee hasn't been agreed, surely we/him/his agent wouldn't have wanted to risk an injury?
Sullivan would see this as if he picks up an injury, he gets a 10% discount on the transfer fee.

Apparently a 25m fee has been agreed so why is he playing for Leicester? Seems a bit of a risk and doesn't usually happen.
seems a bit pointless for him & Leicester too, surely they'd want to try out their number 2 in their last pre season friendly?

Shame Newcastle are far too forward thinking and not run by a greedy malevolent imbecile who puts their own and their mates interests over the needs of the club they own and the manager of. Otherwise if they were as farcically and irresponsibly run as us they could have signed Antonio for a 180 on the podcast.

Difference I guess is that Antonio has never publicly slagged off Newcastle like that cսnt Wilson has done to us.
