I said exactly that a while back. The civil service and institutions are captured and will do their utmost to get there agenda in place. Whoever 'governs' the country is irrelevant up to a point, those behind the scenes will make decision making almost impossible for any leader unless it falls in line with their take on what line we should be taking.

The first move, in order to get nation and State in alignment, must be a reform of our voting system such that minority governments are an impossibility.
I think that’s the least of our problems. We have a whole state, from the home office to the judiciary which has been captured by demographic that doesn’t believe in the nation state. So even if we do elect a government to work in our interests the state will continue to try and thwart its efforts.
Farage won’t fix this even if he wins a big majority. This is systemic and will need rooting out over years. Cummings has got an understanding of it but I think it’s out of his league too. Popular revolution is probably the best chance. But don’t hold your breath for that.

Yes, but together they gave us the nation state. Which is a distinct entity in itself. Their interests aligned. That’s why it worked.
It’s a recent thing that the state is hostile to the interests of the nation. We haven’t seen that before. It might have curtailed our liberties and treated the inhabitants of the nation poorly, but it never set about to work against the interests of the nation itself.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
You know the chant..
"SAY IT LOUD, SAY IT CLEAR, REFUGEES ARE WELCOME HERE"
.. I could not agree more. Not even being sarcastic. I have genuinely always agreed with every soap dodging liberal nutter that screams it and have done so long before they recently did. My argument back though is that every single 1 that attempts to travel across the English Channel over by boat is not a Refugee. And the simple explanation is that every single one has had to travel through numerous safe Countries to attempt it. And if that is the case, then they have no need to get to us across water illegally. All it proves is that they are in fact economic migrants who think they can understandably get a better life on benefits, board etc than the other safe Countries provide, picking and choosing where to settle when that's not what genuine refugees do. Just happy they are finally safe in any of the other safe Countries they've travelled in to.
So what you do is take the moral high ground alongside the great unwashed Leftys using their own slogan whilst explaining that none crossing by boat can be having already entered many other safe Countries already. It's illogical nonsense to say they are still Refugees seeking to escape war or persecution from mainland Europe. That is unless I've missed something which I may have but that's my take on it.
The final point I'd add that I think any sane right minded person who wants to stop the dangerous crossings is saying how irresponsible it is for the Left to encourage them risking their lives drowning when they are already safe. The right should be making that point clear that by preventing them crossing we are in fact wanting to protect and prevent serious harm to those that wish to attempt to cross. They just don't make that argument strong enough in the Media though getting trapped instead in the typical endless back and forth over failed policies to stop it. It's far more humane to say we don't want them to cross so they dont risk death needlessly and last time I checked there have been 152 reported deaths in the Channel to date since it began in 2018. That's disgusting when you think about it, yet the left still encourage them over. Warped logic.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
I saw someone explain the current situation quite well recently. The nation state is now two entities: the nation and the state. Their interests no longer align. The state no longer shares the interests of the nation. The nation and the state are now at odds with each other.

12-year-old raped in Warwickshire:
But in Liverpool they gave the suspects ethnicity and nationality straight away and said:
So what's going on?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy98l9j913voPolice refused to disclose further details, saying: "Once someone is charged with an offence, we follow national guidance. This guidance does not include sharing ethnicity or immigration status.
But in Liverpool they gave the suspects ethnicity and nationality straight away and said:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvgv4ddpyddoIn a report published earlier this month into last summer's events, His Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services said the police service "must do more to communicate online" and "fill the information void with the truth"."Forces must provide a true narrative online to reach people who may be searching for information," it added. The report went on to say: "The police service must communicate the facts. Repeatedly, continuously and effectively as circumstances change and develop."If not, others will take over the narrative with overwhelming amounts of online content. And some of this may be false or harmful to the police response and the communities the police are there to protect."
So what's going on?

KS - Tell all Officers to disperse of Far Right Hooligan Nans etc in the area now due to local Service Users feeling distressed and alarm using a Section 42. Just trust me.
*As the Service Users continue to peer out their 4 star Bedroom windows all relaxed and laughing flicking V's down below*
Might as well do them outside Parliament and along Whitehall for the next 28 days then.

Remember when they rushed to announce the ethnicity of the Liverpool driver that ran everyone over? Apparently there wasn’t the same urgency with the rape of a 12-year-old girl.
Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
Apparently Trump is looking to offset any additional costs the tariffs bring to companies by reducing the corporate tax rate for US businesses.
That removes price hikes and encourages people to buy from US companies. A big win for the US worker and jobs market and US economy. Will remove any threat of inflation too.
Also ensures US corporations eat the Tariffs, stops all the tax evasion on corporate tax that companies currently skirt around.
MAGA!
