Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

Ex reporting Hermansen agreement is very close. Unless we're getting 2, looks like big John gonna get pied at the altar.

I wouldn't be surprised if the short lived Steidten era gave him an either higher opinion of his own abilities. Let's face it, Steidten might have got most of the deals done quickly but he seemed to overpay almost every time. By a lot. So Sully probably thinks if ANY of his cheapo deals come off then he'll have done a better job. This is all assuming that Sully's gone back to negotiating deals as before and our latest "Head of recruitment" does pretty much fuck all, which wouldn't surprise me.
Not sure I'd ever want our head of recruitment negotiating any deals.

That's for normally people much higher up the food chain.  Unfortunately we've got an idiot doing it.

He definitely doesn’t have a clue
He wouldn’t bother with the constant lies and spin if he was aware that’s he’s fooling absolutely no one
I believe in his eyes he’s viewed as the saviour of this football club

Could see Antonio going into a media role. Maybe as a bit of a Micah Richards type without being such an annoying twat

Maddison confirmed as an ACL so should miss the season
Good news is that he has now been installed as 3rd favourite for the PDC Darts World Championship
Fully expect a Carlton Cole pay per play cameo comeback when Fullrugg gets injured (only in Jan tho if at all, right)

I sincerely hope we do not swap Paqueta for Grealish and Phillips.  That would tempt me to boil my head.

Antonio has signed a 3 year contract.

Club Statement | Michail Antonio | West Ham United F.C.

ONLY JOKING!  It's just confirmation he's left which I'm a bit surprised about.  I though we might have been stupid enough to agree to any terms he wanted.

You'd have thought with such a huge rebuild that we'd have players in early doors to get everything all set up and ready.

Sullivan is a stupid fucking idiot.

the only logical conclusion is having a buyer lined up for Areola.

I really hope not for his sake. And I hope he's aware of any other developments with goalkeepers so he can make an informed choice about his future. Likewise I hope we don't just ghost Leicester now. I sadly wouldn't put anything beyond our ownership.

I'd have to agree if both are coming in then Areola must be on the way out. Bit fucking late in the window to completely revamp the goalkeeper position but better late than never I suppose, if it happens.

I have a suspicion we start the season with Victor and Areola on the books, as Sullivan probably wanted all along.

Surely if we were to be bringing in a goalie, it would have been done by now.

Sorry, forgot, this is WHUFC, where players take a few months to get used to the Premiership.

Well we are either treating the guy fucking disgracefully if we're going to pull out after he's gone through all that with his club, or he's definitely on his way so that's at least one keeper coming. Will the lad from Leicester come in as well? That's now the question. I hope the Brazilian lad has been told, if that's the case. Be a bit shit for him if he thinks he's coming in to compete for the shirt if Hermanson comes in and he ends up riding the bench.

West Ham United’s move for John Victor has now reached the “goodbye” stage, at least according to Botafogo manager Davide Ancelotti, who admitted he’s already said his thanks to the departing goalkeeper.

Speaking to SporTV before Wednesday night’s Copa do Brasil clash against Red Bull Bragantino, Ancelotti confirmed that John’s situation was clear within the squad and that his absence from the matchday list was no surprise.“The situation with John was already clear to us yesterday,” the manager said. “I spoke to him and thanked him for everything he did for the club. His substitute is ready, and we’re happy to have him.”

Very Good! Although to be truly accurate I would amend it to...

I find it interesting that the rat Carragher has stated that the fee wanted for Isak is too high and should be more realistic. I remember when we were selling Rice most of the Sky mob were trying to undermine the value we had put on him.
Almost seems as Newcastle are not welcome at the big 6 table.
