Re: The UK online safety act
It IS a complete dog's breakfast of an act which will protect absolutely no one.
The intentions are admirable but the implementation is the equivalent of trying to run an electric car on lumps of coal.
It's the IT equivalent of HS2: poorly defined requirements, inadequately researched problems/potential solutions and every "interested" party pulling it every which way.
The best that can be said of it is that it's the digital equivalent of putting jazz mags on the top shelf of a newsagent - and I'm sure, despite that restriction, every 100% straight person (on here, at least) saw a porno mag before they were legally entitled to.
But, hey! You just freely hand over all and any information you're asked for; I'm sure there a few hundred Nigerians waiting for Mr. Stupid to freely pass over the last bit of the jigsaw to complete their profile of him.

So Starmer is saying 16-18 year olds can no longer read about wine or listen to Enemim, while simultaneously giving them the vote?? What a fucking clown.

Couple that with some awful policies/decisions and they could be gone after 1 term. Must be some kind of record?Very true would be a defeat and retreat not seen since WW2 in you know where by you know whomreminds me more of losing your first major final in god knows how long, as favourites, at home AND on penalties.

You're going to have to explain how those two remarks, twisted by you as they are, are in any way related or make any kind of point. Feel free to use symbols.
