Re: Tommy Robinson
Not a fan of Tommy, not that I don’t disagree on some of his stuff, grooming gangs etc he deserve credit for in making sure it was brought to the publics attention but something just doesn’t sit right about him in other matters, too extreme for my liking.
Just an extreme version of Farage in some ways IMHO

No doubt he does, and he also speaks for a lot of people. But I reckon he is controlled opposition. He'll lead his followers off the edge of the cliff, like the people who ended up in prison recently. But they may be stooges also.

That was Jack Straw some 20 years ago
Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, known as Tommy Robinson, first raised concerns about grooming gangs in Luton around 2004, when he was 22 years old. According to a 2024 interview with Jordan Peterson, Robinson organized a protest called "Ban the Luton Taliban" in response to extremist groups recruiting in the town center. He distributed leaflets highlighting issues like racial targeting, police inaction, and the use of drugs to exploit children, motivated in part by his cousin’s experience as a grooming victim at age 14.
Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (Tommy Robinson) claimed to have raised concerns in Luton around 2004, organizing protests against grooming and extremist activities. Thus, while Straw’s high-profile comments brought national attention, local activists and media had addressed the issue earlier.
Not that it's a pissing contest about who first raised issues about Grooming Gangs as many others in their own communities could also lay claim to it. Point is as a very young man Robinson had the bollocks to call it out early doors and act upon it to this present day.

Re: Tommy Robinson
Somebody (forget who) made a great point recently. Said that if TR held all his views and his past was no different but he spoke like Douglas Murray rather than a working class labourer, would he still get called a far right thug.
As has been said, listen to HIM rather than take it as gospel that all you hear in the mainstream is fact.

Re: Tommy Robinson
Unfortunately Nursey there's many ignorant people out there who would prefer to lazily chuck around labels of the bloke without bothering to do their research on him. The video below would be a great start for those that can be bothered.
- He was ahead of the curve on highlighting the Grooming Scandal
- He was ahead of the curve on highlighting Two-Tier Policing
- He has been banging on for a while now about the concerns on our Freedom of Speech - To the extent he's managed to organise a fuck-off sized gathering in London in a months time that will attract hundreds of thousands of people
Not bad for just a Thug.

Centrist dads sneer at a man who cares more about the safety of their female relatives (and prepared to act on it) than than they do.

Re: Tommy Robinson
You've got it, Oxsaw. Everyone needs to watch the admittedly lengthy 2 and a half long video below to get a much better idea about the man.
Geezer's a National hero for what he's been through and exposed long before anyone else had the bollocks to speak up and make a stand against the real evilness in this Country did. Be it about the J1had1 shitcunt Terrorists, radicals, corrupt Authorities, MSM and gutless Britain hating Politician traitors.

Re: Tommy Robinson
All I know of and about him is through the media.
If that media has a bias in how they present him then it's 100% possible that I'm getting an impression of him that someone wants me to get, not a picture of what he is really like.
How do I know if the media has a bias if my only source of information is also through that very same media?
I have learnt down the years that it's very easy for the state to impose such a bias on the media*, so when such a relentless campaign against a single individual appears to be spinning like a kids top, I start to ask questions - questions I suspect that the state would rather not be asked; they certainly won't be given, by them, an answer that reflects reality.
* There are literally thousands of "innocent, legitimate" ways to do this. Individually each would get nowhere near forming a case to present before a judge, but if such activities start to form an identifiable trend...

Re: Tommy Robinson
He says what 70% of us are thinking. Is he perfect? Of course not but show me someone who is. I would recommend giving his address to the Oxford Union a listen, he speaks a lot of sense. Not sure he's a massive racist, he has a problem with radical Islam, not Muslims. He is a classic example of what the Liberal elite hate, they pour scorn on his love of his country.
