Sunderland 2-1 West Ham Im afraid is what I foresee at this juncture. Us unable to break thru their 10 behind the ball and them springing counters that leave our central midfield in the dust. Im hoping to be completely wrong but this window has underdelivered so far. We might get a couple in for centre midfield before the window shuts and if we get it right the season ahead could look a lot rosier but the first few games, with basically the same team ( albeit Diouf and sub like KWP unless Mads goes straight in ) we will struggle despite us currently having a better team spirit etc. I just dont think we have had enough change in personnel to expect much yet.

I was optimistic and expecting a win but now that Chris Sutton has forecast a WHU 2-0 victory I’m beginning to doubt.

I think we sneak a lucky win by a goal. 1-2 but their midfield running rings around us for the most part.

I just hope the game gives Sullivan a slap in the face, that a newly promoted side will be competitive with us and he's got to back the manager with a new midfielder or two to avoid us being bottom six all season.

Never keen on playing overly excited newly promoted teams in their first home game … that said we beat Luton & should have beaten Forest 
They have close to a completely new team & hopefully play Masuaku up against Bowen

I’m hoping they will be unsettled due to having so many new players. Their supporters are way too optimistic and the players might be nervous. But I’m a bit worried that the referee is the same one who refereed for the Forest game when we lost 0-1 and Newcastle when we lost 3-4. Several very dubious decisions in both those games - pretty much all of them going against us. Expect him to be heavily influenced by the crowd.
