For that reason, picking a manager that Sullivan accepts is almost always like shuffling deckchairs on the Titanic.

No one could work with the midfielders we have.
Potter goes and Sullivan then looks at managers out of work so no release clauses to pay. He gets A.N Other manager in and will let him struggle through till the January transfer window where he will offer him an over 30s Johnny Foreigner on loan or an over 30s injury prone British player looking for one last pay day.
The problem has never been Moyes, Lopetegui or Potter the problem has been Sullivan and the other owners who just don’t seem that bothered in fixing a very fixable problem. The club have spent how many millions on JWP, Alvarez and Guido?
The problem isn’t investment, it’s how badly it’s been invested by consecutive managers.
This is all true.
But we should add that the money has been badly invested by the board, as well as managers. As everybody now knows, Sullivan et al (but particularly him) have a BIG say over each deal - because he refuses to sign-off certain wages, deals etc and refuses (in effect) to work with certain agents because of his limited Del Boy preferences.
The rancid rot at West Ham comes from the top down. Poor chairman/board appoint poor managers, who sign poor players…and on it goes…any real change has to involve Sullivan’s exit.

I don’t know why people keep saying no manager could work with the central midfielders we have
Yes they’re shit, but when you’ve got a manager who keeps picking the slowest two we have to start games it’s pretty obvious that there is room for improvement by simply not making this obvious error

Absolutely spot on.
Moyes coped with Sullivan by bringing in centre backs who could defend, Dawson, Zouma and Coufal were proper old school defenders who put their bodies on the line unlike the pansies who played yesterday in defence. This solid brick wall meant we could grind out a win because we had Rice, Lingard, Bowen and Antonio to attack at pace.
This is the slowest team I’ve seen in my 50 years of supporting the club, it’s also the least skilful team I’ve seen in my 50 years of supporting this club.
What I wouldn’t give for a Bonds, Devonshire and Payet.

I think you’re correct. What I don’t understand is why the club are so slow to act at its own determent, which makes me think something is off.
it’s just come to mind, but could West Ham dropping into the Championship hurt the LLDC in anyway, or would it only impact the club?

Pretty much. I've even got the hump with Kretinsky for dragging his heels. Ultimately though the buck stops with those in the most control and that’s still the BS Regime. Until they're gone, we will all have to continue to suffer, regardless of who is Manager.

Whoever is next will now be forced to play wing backs as that’s how they’ve now built the squad.
another example of mismanagement at the top of the club.
and let’s be honest, there will be a ‘next’ this season. Probably after Sullivan has let CPP hang on too long & ruin another season.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
He wanted Kudus gone as he was too much hard work to deal with and has been given money to buy a new Left Back and Keeper. Were his priorities right when he does get given funds? It looks a haphazard plan when he does gets money to spend. Same goes for wanting a new Striker who he once worked with back in January he rarely used him.
Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Probably the best thing Potter could do for his reputation is quit now..Whatever mistakes Potter has made and there’s been a few the bottom line is the team isn’t good enough and he’s not been backed to improve it enough

Brady would get her pay doubled
Tv’s ‘business expert’ has taken a team into a 60,000 seat stadium with minimal rent and a decade later they have a dismal squad and no money
No wonder she is in the House of Lords

This will turn into another Sullivan rant thread but
Danny Röhl "Ham Röhl"
Mourinho - 4th time lucky with Chelsea rejects
Potter is not even trying to make the best of what he has available. Bringing in the new keeper who hasn't kicked a ball with his teammates is a sacking in my opinion.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
During pre season most of the anger was pointed towards the clubs owners. Rightly so.
Now the season has started, after one game, it’s now switched towards the manager.
Potter is being hung out to dry by Owners who are not willing to right the many wrongs within the squad financially.
any other manager that comes in will have the exact same issues.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
No one in their right mind would work with Sullivan
And no one competent would be selected by Sullivan
If Potter goes the next manager will be :
David Sullivan assisted by his trans girlfriend
Coaches : Jack Sullivan, David Sullivan Junior, Richard O’Sullivan & Gilbert O’Sullivan

A selection of journeymen or been sacked recently, hardly inspiring choices out there!
Fuck it’s depressing.
That's why we can't get rid of him yet as how will that look to any half decent prospective manager if we sack a 2nd manager in the space of a year. They'll understanably think they will only have half a year to prove myself or they'll be off too 6 months later. We have to persevere, no matter how much anyone wants him gone now.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
And this was my worry back at Christmas panicky changing managers when we should have bided out time to get the next appointment right, rather than rush to get in the hapless Potter.
Now some are already panicking about replacing Potter after just 1 game in to the new season being hammered by a poor promoted side. Pre-season gone, summer window almost closed and we've wasted a good opportunity to get it right if we were going to change manager properly for this upcoming season. It's too late for that and Potter has 2 years remaining on a lucrative contract that Sullivan will be loathe to end so soon after the last one was given only 6 months before getting the elbow. It's a huge fucking mess but all so predictable. Doubt Potter will be going anywhere soon I'm afraid only 1 game in.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Nuno Espírito Santo
I said years ago we should have gone for him. On a limited budget he had Wolves knocking on the door of the top 8. And he’s shown again at Forest what he can do without big money.
Bit late now of course. We haven’t got a cat’s hope in hell of getting him.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
There is absolutely no point sacking Graham Potter; the next coach will have the same constrains on him that Potter has the same ponderous squad and the same disinterested board.
Sullivan needs to be forced out, and until we as a group of supporters grow some bollocks and make life difficult for him (and I'm not calling for violence officer), he's going to sit there looking like a pound shop Nepoleon with his 6th floozy next to him in the directors box.
Fuck all those with authority at the club - Sullivan, Brady, the Golds, Tripp Smith and Daniel Kretinsky. The clubs in a state and they all have to share the blame. Wankers.
