If Sullivan could be got rid of, who would you want as next Owner?
Given we have a manager thread along these lines. We may as well have one that actually deals with the root cause of our problems.
If we could somehow actually get rid of the real problem at the Club, who (or what type) of owner would you want to take their place.
- Sports washers?
- US Tycoons?
- Local boy made good types?
- Business Tycoon?
- Consortium?
We've got the 4th or 5th richest owners collectively in the league, so it's clearly not just about having money, but about having visionary leadership, aspiration, and an innovative approach to things.
Who would you want? What type of person? Who would you want to figurehead for the Club?

What do we own? What hasn’t been re mortgaged, payday loans to service old debts, mostly shit squad.
who in their right mind would buy? Yep, we’ve got a massive fanbase, but them numbers don’t mean much.
agree, otherwise feel sure we'd be under new ownership now. It's going to take the right investor with a long term vision who will go some way to meeting the likely overly inflated asking price.

Fat Frank
Leads us to FA cup final over the rent boys.
4 more successful years with us winning the league, and he fucks off to get the England job with Carrick as his assistant and wins World cup with some home grown West Ham players in team
Redemption Complete, and I've just put the bong down.

Maybe its the stadium situation that puts people off, as a buyer id want to rectify that straight away. Maybe the asking is just ridiculous.
Currently we're like Newcastle under Ashley, waiting for our saviour!

Not sure if he's a proper thick mentalist or just pretending to be for attention.

Kretinsky
I really want to see what he could do after having his feet under the table for a while now familiarising himself with everything to do with the structure of the Club, Premier League etc. Now he's cut his teeth and seen the potential of the Club, I would want him to finally oust the Poison Dwarf once and for all.
He certainly knows his shit when it comes to the business world and making truck loads of money. So would feel reasonably comfortable with him taking care of the finances.
Already enjoyed a shared experience at the Club supporting us, as well as pumping money in to the Club on our way to European glory. So he already has that taste of success with us in a short space of time and saw first hand how we can achieve it together. It would have helped strike up a real bond.
I like Czech people. It might not sound all that significant or relevant but I find them genuine folk with respect for our values. Being European as well I reckon they'd be more understanding as to what makes us tick, certainly in regards to the game. As opposed to say a Chinese Billionaire or Yank consortium mainly obsessing about how much money they can milk from us. That's the impression I get anyway and he could well just be another money grabber but prepared to roll that dice on him.
Not saying he'd be great or that it won't go terribly wrong but unless we take the plunge, we are never going to find out. But over the course of the next few seasons or so, I do feel it's either shit Dan or get off the fucking pot so someone else can step in and overthrow the money grabbing midget and his henchwoman old hag...

Re: If Sullivan could be got rid of, who would you want as next Owner?
If there was some sort of supporter co-op eg 60,000 people putting money in to buy up the shares and commit to yearly funding, say for at least 10 years, how much would anyone be prepared to stump up themselves?
I dont like to put a downer on this but ive said before - the majority of our fans dont care who owns west ham or even know who the owners are.
That prince rainier supports west ham so maybe he might be a potential owner

Re: If Sullivan could be got rid of, who would you want as next Owner?
Right now, I'd take some sports washers - Newcastle style.
They have enough money to employ the right people in the top positions to make the right decisions.
Everything else then falls in to place.
Like Newcastle, you wouldn't get instant or regular top 4 positions, but you'd be closer to the top 4, rather than the bottom 3.
Not likely to happen though.

You want to keep handing over your money and feeding the monster. Sounds like a You Problem.?
As for the question.
It’s either going to be. “ Meet the New Boss. Same as the Old Boss.!”
Or. BARMAN!!!!

Ha. If only I had a Billionaire benefactor. Sorry to say it, but that is some tin foil hat wearing shite you're spouting there.
The only way to really get Sullivan out is to put together interested parties and to buy him out. But that needs 'money no object' types.
Since he's got a minority major shareholding, maybe the real sweet spot would be to try and buy out all the others and sideline the little Goblin.
Leaving him as a minority shareholder.
Do we have enough, frankly, smart/intelligent and motivated individuals capable of putting together the kind of consortium proposal needed to make it happen? I doubt it....I know Cottee has tried in the past....could a fan-led partnership galvanise some truly rich people and make it happen?

he owns the club and dosen't give a fuck what you or I think; he's not elected so its not like we can vote him out.
We can make life uncomfortable, but it means a repeat of the Burnley protests or similar that draws bad publicity, but that also puts the supporters and the club in harms way. Protest and pitch invasions may incur the wrath of the FA and fines and maybe even point deductions and lifetime bans for those involved. It would be self destructive but maybe hitting the self destruct is what we need to do if it gets to the point that relegation is anyway unavoidable.
Ideally we have someone offer him enough money to buy him out, but it will almost certainly need to be more than his share is really worth and its nothing we fans can influence,

Re: If Sullivan could be got rid of, who would you want as next Owner?
Someone who has a long term vision of what the club should be and hires the right people to achieve that vision, not just lurching from one catastrophe to another with no idea of what they actually want beyond a vague idea of success.
Ideally for me that would involve a focus on developing the best young players via our academy and to have a philosophy of playing entertaining and attacking football.
This club has a massive fanbase, most of whom who aren't just glory hunters and don't expect or even want us to be the next plaything of some sugar daddy oligarch or oil tycoon. Just give us someone who believes in the West Ham way and tries to achieve that, whatever the budget constraints.
