Storm the Chelsea end, have a massive tear up and the ground gets closed down because it's not a safe place for tourists to watch football. Massive fine for Sullivan.

Only problem is they were all 20-30 years ago and he still seems to think it's that era, and tries to do business accordingly. Out of his time and out of his depth. It's not back alley meetings and envelopes and mason's handshakes any more. The game has left him so fucking embarrassingly far behind.
I just hope all the anger that may come is laser focused on the director's box rather than the dugout or the pitch. All of them are victims, just like we are.

Could it be that he's such a psychopathic cսnt that he enjoys the misery that he inflicts on us all, and that he has the power to alleviate said misery by opening his wallet?
Which, I suspect he may do now that we're being tipped for the drop. Not for the love of the club though, but for the love of his (threatened) wealth.
Sullivan's problem is and always will be his ego. he is very old school and wants to be seen as the top man. Most club owners these days are like silent partners. You don't see them, you don't hear them, you don't know them. They run the clubs like slick, modern day, dynamic private companies.
Sullivan is a dinosaur, but he won't admit it. He is hated, but he won't admit it. West Ham are easily the worst run football club in the PL, but he won't admit it.
I do agree with you on his mental health. He is a psychopath. It really is a heady brew.... An egotistical psychopath. And when you add to that his absolute ignorance of his own failures and the impact they have on our club. I mean, seriously, is it any wonder we are in the mess we are.
It's like a pirate ship with a mental case of a captain heading straight into a storm.

I'm far more looking forward to the pie and mash in Kelly's than the football Friday.
Maybe i should of just come up for that and a few pints around the ground rather than splash out on a ticket.

Re: If we roll over and die early on Friday night………
Alfs, I've often asked the same question about Sullivan. He must have enough money now to ensure that his great grandchildren never have to get out of bed I the morning yet he continues being a figure of hate for thousands of people who are seeing something they love being destroyed. It has to be assumed that he enjoys what he is doing and gets off on the pain and anger he is generating.
Haven't seen any of Saturdays game so wont comment on it but I saw Everton last night and i have to believe we weren't quite as bad as them, they were dreadful against an enthusiastic but bang average Leeds.

Re: If we roll over and die early on Friday night………
He was always Sullivan's spokesman as a player (we're not run like a circus anymore) but on the protest day he really showed his loyalty by wrestling a West Ham supporter to the ground by his throat.
I suppose he felt he owed the club, taking tens of thousands a week and never once having any other club show the slightest bit of interest in him, not even a loan deal from a lower division, so he cosied up to Sullivan best he could and now he's reaping the rewards. A man whose life CV is as short as his football CV, a thicko who wouldn't have made anything of himself if he had been born anywhere else, now a DIRECTOR of a global brand.
He doesn't do a fucking thing day to day, he's being rewarded for having been Sullivan's protector and grass for a very long time.

Re: If we roll over and die early on Friday night………
I hope we don't roll over early doors. If we don't and we make a game of it, regardless of whether we win or lose, I'll stay to the end. If there is no effort and it is embarrassing not knowing how to cut up an e-ticket, I'll just make an early exit for Stratford Station. I guess even Sky will have to comment if the ground is empty by half-time.
I expect there will be a good few on here who will demonstrate their anger at the board by reaching for the off switch early.

If anything kicks off, the commentators will seize the chance to drone on and on about Liverpool and Manchester United whilst ignoring what's happening in the ground.

I reckon it would be the opposite these days now they're super woke. Probably cut the transmission knowing the depth of anger we have towards the Board if we kick off again.
Poor old Potter will be a nervous wreck diving under the Subs bench for cover.

Was in amongst that lot giving them pelters, such happy memories.
The only bit I didn't like was seeing poor old Trev in the thick of it all but he understood it weren't about him. When we clocked Terence, couldn't resist digging that old fossil out either still leeching off us after all this time.
Hopefully those that now remain could maybe do a repeat but think it's unlikely now once they tightened up security there and the crowds been watered down further since then with more Tourists. You live in hope for a repeat though..

Re: If we roll over and die early on Friday night………
The Burnley protest will never happen again, but the game is live on (worldwide) TV, so something simple but very visual is probably the way forward.
It's clear that many refuse to give up going to the games despite the fact that doing so directly lines Sullivan's pockets, so another tactic is needed - something like silently turning our (Yes! our!, whether you can accept that or not is your problem, not mine) backs when Chelsea inevitably score; no booing, no blood-vessel busting screeching, just silently turning our backs in unison until the game kicks off again.
Been done before? By other clubs' supporters? So fucking what?
A protest doesn't have to be virginally unique if it gets noticed (globally, even if the commentary team are under instructions to not mention it).
Shit idea? Fine by me. I'm keen for your proposal to get the message across to the owner.

Dont think we will ever see anything like this again. The owners have cleansed the match day fans enough to ensure against any insubordination from the stands. Might get a few throwing foam fingers but suspect just mutterings under the breath, heads down, sad resignation on faces as the old school fans leave the bowl at half time in their droves.

Re: If we roll over and die early on Friday night………
The biggest fallacy that day was that if the fans hadn't invaded the pitch we would have got back in the game and gone on to win.
We could still be playing now and wouldn't have scored a fucking goal
